DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2016 Draft Day 3: Rounds 4-7 Thread

In this draft i'd take my chances with the 3 unless they have someone on their board that is just miles ahead of everyone else and don't want to risk it.

So would I. But if J Will is there, all bets are off.

I love Williams too, but I wonder if they think they can get a decent RB late - i.e. Daniel Lasco - and don't see the value in Williams in the 4th versus another position. I do hope they get Williams, though.

I suspect that Belichick will trade down from 112.

My favs at 112 are Ridgeway, Dixon and Matekevich.

112 will make the team and all of these players fulfill needs.

I think that there are serious injury concerns regarding Booker, or he'd be gone already, or picked in the first coupe of picks today.

can you explain your love for jonathan williams and how he could help the pats? i'm not familiar with him. is he linked to the pats at all?

Other than maybe WR or 4/3 DE where are they more dearth at skill and talent and more exposed than RB?

My projection - the Pats trade down in the 4th to pick up a late 4th and a mid 5th, then trade their two tradeable 6ths and their two 7ths for a mid 5th. They would then have a late 4th, two mid 5ths, and three late 6ths, leaving 4 more roster spots available for UDFAs.

I don't know if that's reasonable, I'm just winging it.

They definitely need RB - I'm just saying they may find themselves with a lot of similarly-graded RBs left on their board in the 4th, versus fewer well-graded players at other positions.

Great balance, runs tough, exceptional north to south runner, potential to be a 3 down back. We had him in for a visit and worked him out.

I was thinking the same thing Ross. We trade our 4th move back a little and get a 5th. I think this works well if we are targeting a Rb, as there still seems to be a few good ones left.

I hear you. In my scenario they'd grab a guy they like at another position in the 4th, then draft RB and Reynolds in the 5th, and then go BPA with their three 6ths - and be left with 4 spots for priority UDFAs, meaning they can give out slightly bigger contracts than normal, which may attract higher quality talent.

I dunna know....if Booker's knee is solid hes the best tomato in the produce section.

@Spoony29
Tajae Sharpe is still on the board. Another WR who is being frowned upon because of his lack of speed, but roasted Notre Dame DB's.

Another name at WR later in the draft. Pretty good route runner and an awesome catch radius.

Can anyone link to some twitter feeds?

What an ass Goodell is, inviting the boos.

You really have to be an ass to get Chicagoians to boo with Galse Sayers on the stage with you.

Coming back from a knee injury and scored an 8 on his wonderlic, 15 on the retest

The Pats are probably thinking he cheated on the retest and is a character concern.
