2014 Draft comp pick - projections

I let him know that the CBA says that the maximum number is 32 so I would expect a new and updated projection.

I guess I was typing and researching when you posted the limits last night.:) I think teams are limited up to 4 comp picks regardless if I'm not mistaken also (Turner didn't exceed that). As for the snap count thing I found this (didn't bother registering to NFL Media, to lazy)

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2013 NFL SNAP COUNTS

Again, credit to Turner. To many variables for me to research, and you have to do all 32 teams to take an educated stab at what NE may get. That's some serious nerd-hours.

In any event, it's always good to get 1. We haven't had a comp pick since 2010 (4 that year).

I agree. Make some dumb contracts, get into a tight cap situation and not be able to sign your own free agents (I'm not referring to the cuts from cap hell, which don't qualify) and you are rewarded with extra picks. :bricks:

Why not just make the draft 8 rounds long and give each team an extra pick?

Troy Brown agrees
