In all fairness, the Pats made a comparable move for Ty Warren in 2003. I can't remember what round the pick was, so I based it on the trade chart.
Yeah, your trade was actually plausible. Some of the others, trading 3 picks for 3
slightly different picks that just barely landed some key players, are a little harder to swallow.
Just to be fair, I'll play the game based on my own rules:
*#17 -- Not in love with anybody. Will trade down 2 slots, in exchange swapping my late 4th for that team's 3rd, #83 overall. That should be a useful point in this draft.
*#19 -- Still not overjoyed, but I'm going to take a leap of faith and say that
Ryan Kerrigan, DE/OLB showed some decent athleticism when I brought him to Gillette for a private workout.
#32 --
Muhammad Wilkerson, DE. My front 7's looking a little nastier now.
#33 --
Derek Sherrod, OT. Interior OL is a bigger need, but I like Sherrod's agility for the Pats' scheme.
#64 --
Jimmy Smith, DB. A big, physical CB with intriguing potential at safety.
#74 --
Stanley Havili, RB/FB. Thrilled he's still on the board. Big runner who looks equally at home running, blocking and catching the ball. Approaching binky territory -- he'll make the offense even more unpredictable.
*#83 --
Cameron Jordan, DE. Just realized he was still on the board, can't resist the value. Could be a rich man's Jarvis Green.
#96 --
Danny Watkins, OL. Potential RT, RG or LG.
