I am going to get out to the practice today. Will be my 3rd time this summer. (4 counting last Thursdays game) It's been a ritual of mine since the Bryant college days. I usually get out at least 1 time, and some years have gone 6 or 7 times.
going to try and get there right for 8:15 letting the early birds filter into the parking area first.

-I think it is a done deal that both Landy and Schooler start the season on IR. I guess with Landry the question is "for how long?" With Schooler, what happened to him? did he have a surgery? does he have an illness? so far we have nothing. will he be back this season? if so, when?

-I am going to try to focus on the OL, rather than follow the ball today. Eagles present a good test for the OL group, and want to watch the left side in particular. How far along are Wilson-AVT-Campbell in their cohesiveness. I assume I will also see Bryant at LT. perhaps Van Roten is ready to take some reps at LG-2?

-I am also interested in watching Devito. the 2 prior practices I attended, I was surprised/impressed with him both times. arm strength. accuracy. pocket mobility. but Thursday night I saw none of that, and thought he looked bad.

-I am also going to try and watch Jacas. I have to think he is going to have a big role with Landry out for a while. I originally thought Jacas would have 4-8 games to start contributing in a big way. maybe work his way up to 40% of the defensive snaps come mid season. Now I think we need that starting game #1.

-my expectation is we don't see Gonzo all week. prob not until he signs, or game #1, which ever comes first.

-hoping to see some of Borregales as well. my first 2 times this summer, he was money. last Thursday he obviously was not.

Looking forward to hearing your take on things today. Should be a competitive session, so definitely pass along any observations.

I liked what I saw from the entire OL today with regards to pass pro. the Eagles have some big bodes on their DL, but the Pats were very good in pass pro, allowing Maye plenty of time to find his targets. very positive from my vantage point. quite a few flags however if I must pick a negative as well. hard to tell if they were legit, but flags none the less

not enough pressure in my opinion, and Hurts was able to make some plays downfield. Pats coverage players struggled quite a bit in my opinion. I did not notice Jacas making himself disruptive, but I thought Barmore, Milt Williams, Britt and Byard did. I really like the Pats DL play, their depth and their upside potential. honestly, I like Daquan Jones, but playing ahead of who? Durden and Farmer made some plays.

I did not see Gonzo at all. he may have been there, maybe on the sidelines? from whare I sat, I did not see him on the field
-hoping to see some of Borregales as well. my first 2 times this summer, he was money. last Thursday he obviously was not.
Borregales good a few times from 50+. I am still not concerned about him at all. I believe his 1 miss hit the upright.

I do want to add:

-Maye looked incredible. today was AJ Browns day. Doubs showed up as well. Maye puts the ball right on his targets.

-Devito was noticably more accurate today than last Thursday

-Barringer again looked good

-still sorting thru my notebook.

Thanks for the reporting. Good take

Like to hear britt making plays again, he was pretty impactful in the first preseason game.

Pretty universally hearing maye and brown were great and ne fared better. Even a YouTube short i watched from an eagles reporter conceded that ne won the day.

Seems Eagles offense was ass. Five INTs. Both one or two minute drills were stopped. Defenses sounded about even from what I heard, PHL run D was better than NE but pass D was decisively NE.
