PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp Day 5

Great to have a competitive practice with some plays going each way. I do hope Drake and the O don't get too AJ-centric though. That's been the recipe for fun regular seasons and horrific postseasons when Patriot teams fall in love with one skill player.

I know it’s not their forte but that would confuse defenses…Rham running outside and Tre running inside.
I never understood why, last year, Henderson was invariably running to the left behind the two rookies but Rham was running to the right, behind the two veterans, more. It stood out to me time and time again.

And it was mentioned the past week that Rham lost a little more weight this off-season (same as last season)…should help with speed getting outside.

So I see Tanner Arkin making some noise so I look him up and see this pic:

And I'm like WTF....he looks like this guy:

Who used to play for this team but now is going to coach TE for another team.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I think you posted a picture of his brother, Burner Arkin

Since they have the same agent, the agent should have them both sign for the same money and both can brag about being the highest paid CB in the league.

That is one thing that stood in the highlight of his TD catch yesterday, he looks trim!

The Manxman jinx strikes again. It sounds like the offense had an excellent day. Top betting tip. Bet on the opposite to what I say.
I’ve been doing that for a while now. It’s like a second income. If you didn’t live out of country I’d let you claim me as a dependent.

Sorry if this has been previously mentioned (started reading on page 11); but did Carlton Davis participate today?

Nope but Woods was back. Hamstring for Davis, probably out for awhile like Gonzalez last year (Pats were very careful).
I think Carlton Davis is on the Morgan Moses program. Even the slightest bump or bruise and he should sit. He is old enough where he doesn’t have to learn anything, he just has to get in shape for the season.

I also think back to the rookie seasons of Asante Samuel and Eugene Wilson. The team was looking for a nickel CB and also some free safety help. Ty Law and Tyrone Pool were out at the start of camp so both rookies got a ton of run at starting CB. The 2026 Pats should consider doing this, sit the big three and play the backups. Keep the best of the best.

Agree. We have Gonzo, AVT, Moses, and Davis to nurse through the season. Maybe Lomu comes on at season end to spell Moses, but it is a big drop off from Davis/Gonzo to the Pats backup CBs.

Landry and AJ Brown might need some tend loving care too?

For as much as AJs injuries were discussed here prior to and after the trade, he's missed 12 games in his 7 year career.
Yes he will need practice days off throughout the season, but camp is the opportunity for him and Maye to learn each others nuances and get in sync.
