Bedard: Team thinks Maye has made a huge leap forward this offseason.

Unfortunately, a lot of fans and talking heads around the league are doing this. They all cite his playoff play and the harder schedule saying he and the Pats will take a big step back.
That is true and the assumption that the Pats are facing a tougher schedule and they did nothing to improve this offseason is kinda funny. Comical even.

I don't expect 14 wins again but there's no reason other than a catastrophic injury to Maye to think they'll crater in 2026.

Why is it unfortunate? It motivates Drake which is good. The doubt creates a chip which helps the team not be ****y. Doubt and criticism always motivates and pushes competitive people. I think it is a net positive.

I think she is stating that many people are writing off Maye as "The Schedule" because of his play in the playoffs.
Feels like someone who talks for a living should be able to get that point across a little more eloquently.

I always take topics like this with a grain of salt. There were posts like this about Jones before year 2. But I like that Maye has said very little about the SB. No athlete likes getting embarrassed. But talking about it publicly achieves nothing. He has stewed all off-season about it. Good for us.

We're gonna all be like "wow, what we have done with a true #1 quarterback."

Jesus.

Sure, but live podcasts can have flubs by even the best.

I am not a Kay Adams fan or watcher, but I am not going to kill her for not getting her point across more clearly in a live broadcast.

It is just unfortunate because we have to hear the same tired BS from these people.
