Jon Morris was 245 lbs. not that it matters all that much, but compare to Jason Kelce @ 295 lbs.

An aside it is difficult comparing football players of different era's as the game, physicality and size has changed dramatically over the years. But Hannah, Gray and Armstrong were three of the all time best.
Yes it is difficult to compare eras, the game has evolved so much over the decades.

In my opinion…For an all time list, the only metric you can use is how a good a player was in their era under that era’s rules. It’s the only objective way to view it, albeit not perfect.

Logan Mankins is overrated. I've watched and rewatched so many of our games and Thuney imo is the best guard we have ever had. For a single game with players at their peak would be quite an interesting line I'd slap together.

LT-2018 Trent was amazing and we never got this guy again. Many would pick Light, but for a single game Trent then even Solder gets the nod.
LG-Thuney. I seriously can't remember him getting owned in a single game. It was a mistake to not sign him long term.
C- Andrews. Not an easy choice but his consistent pass protection slightly gives him the edge.
RG- Neal. I was very tempted to choose Brian Waters but stuck with Neal.
RT-Vollmer. Solid

*I'm too young to rate old timers like Armstrong, Hannah etc.
If Waters had played the majority of his career on NE, he’d be the undisputed RG selection. Unfortunately he only played in NE for 1 year (maybe 2, not sure) so he doesn’t really count.

He’s definitely on the Chefs all time list though…

I recall Armstrong very well. The man was consistently an absolute BEAST!!! His battles with Buffalo's Bruce Smith were legendary.

The way I have always tried to look at it is to compare players to their contemporaries, their peers. That removes the issue of the size of a player in the 60s to the size of a player today. Same holds true even more so for the skill positions, based on rule changes over the years. Between the rule changes, advances in strength, conditioning, coaching, film study and preparation, etc., it is almost impossible to compare players head-to-head from different eras.

FWIW, here's a link to the All-Decade and other all-time rosters from the Patriots website:
