Gordon to IR

To me it all started with not drafting a TE (i think they should have drafted 2 actually) ... then trying to over compensate at WR.
Absolutely ... large WR's for use in the slot as a substitute.

What happened with SB 52? Was it a good game?

Omg we were a Hightower or Edelman or JJones away from a 3 peat going on potential 4 peat hell as crazy as it sounds we could of won every Super Bowl from 49 and onward we were legit that close and honestly I doubt we ever get our proper do for this run from '14 and onward.

And Butler. It was all of those combined...some more important then others.

BB didn't want Gordon on the team. He replaced him with Sanu. He wanted to release him. The proper procedure is to put him on IR, even if he might pass a physical in a couple of weeks.

There was no reason for him to be on the roster and to pay him for another week.

I understand why folks might want to keep Gordon on the roster to compete for reps with Harry and or Meyers, or even keep Gordon and NOT activate Harry.

However, given that BB chose to have Sanu instead, and probably add Harry, I don't see why folks are so confused.

They pay him while he's on IR. It's just the question of the roster spot and if TE wasn't such a sh!t-show as others have pointed out it may not be a move that needed to be done until Harry was actually activated and by then who knows. I know I'm playing both sides of the fence here but there are decent arguments for both sides.

Your assuming that they weren't thought out. When he traded Thomas they had AB. When they cut Brown, it may have been quick, I was for it at the time because of the whole text thing which I think you can construe as threatening. Don't bring kids into anything. Scumbag move. Keep in mind that nobody else has signed Brown either so maybe not so rash.

Gordon hasn't performed because of injury which is why you IR someone.

You are just assuming that they didn't think these decisions through. You have no evidence to back it up.
Seems like teams are waiting for an announcement from the league on the matter.

Talks of teams signing him may pick up after the trade deadline or in late November/early December if injuries impact a playoff contender.

While the league isn't the most trustworthy, if their findings are nothing too bad, the Pats should absolutely reach out to him.

In retrospect, Andy Beck, current FB for the Broncos, would look nice in the Pats' roster now.

The not drafting of a TE was very surprising... and somehow not surprising because it’s the Pats.

Don't get me started........

.

Bro, he has a knee injury. No sh*t he hasn’t been good.

You seem to keep forgetting that an injury can impact a player’s performance...

All season long?

His knee effects his fingers? Gordons catch rate is one of the lowest at 56%

AB 50% but he was new.
Gunner 50% but he cant believe that hes on the field
Lacosse 50%
Jacko Johnson 50%

The Gordon experiment is over.

Todd will hate the facts.

Thank you.

With Sanunu, Harry Henry can gradually begin to produce if that the way it goes in lieu of expecting him to be a monster out of the gate.

The Pats passing offense is ranked 12th.

The last time they werent top 10 was 2008. 15th.

People keep coming back to this stuff.

here is my question : how many more wins would NE have with (1) a TE (2) a better WR corps (3) AB-Gordon-Gronk ?

Josh Gordon has not been producing and is not able to run away from defenders anymore
Well that sucks for the Pats because he had the highest yards/catch on the team.

It was the Green Bay Sunday night game. 8:20 kickoff and Gordon waltzed through the player lot at 6:35. It was very weird.
Yea, like you weren't smoking a blunt in the parking lot before the game. Jesus.

No one should be excited. Sanu will be benched during xiv
