Trade Deadline

Wasn't there almost no competition for him with the Jets being the only players?

If some team valued him at a 1st round level they would have pursued him in the offseason when he could have been had for the price of his contract.

I don't know what the competition for Bell was. Don't think anyone does.

I just think I know teams are calling the Jets, and the price is high.

The advantages of playing a dome and not having to care about January weather.

Think Pats would have gone with Koo if he had proven to them he can handle kicking outside in NE.

NOT A TRADE ALERT !!!

Bengals bench Andy Dalton

Tyler Eifert has been pretty bad for 3 seasons in a row. I'm not sure if he's healthy enough to contribute. Don't think we need more walking wounded joining the roster. I mean we just released Gordon because he couldn't be available often enough.

Tyler Eifert Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Is he fully healthy this year? Is he doing poorly just because Cinci is bad or is he not getting fully utilized ala Howard in Tampa Bay?

Obviously Howard is more desireable. But if we only have to give up a 5th or 6th for a healthy Eifert, then that might be the move.

Nice Cheap alternative if we can get him in a bubble rap after the Trade so he doesn't hurt himself Eifert is still healthy up to now.

Obviously he has injury issues almost annually but he is cheap and a true hybrid TE.

If the Bucs want too much for Howard it makes sense to roll the dice on Eifert if the Bengals don't want too much (Hello pick swap).

Howard is the more complete player, no?

Or just go with what we have. At some point the 4 we have need to sort themselves into roles and actually play in those roles. By December they will be a piece of the scheme. If we keep playing different guys, being in Eifert and he gets hurt in 3 weeks and we stop and start over it never improves.

I think having a C grade at the position that you get comfortable in a role, in your system and with your Qb is better than having a B grade player that isnt melted in.

Howard is the more complete player, no?

Yes, but also the more expensive player.

(Now watch the Jets say hold my beer and overpay for Eiffert)...

I guess it comes down to cost versus expected improvement in the team with that player.

Buccaneers are a bunch of clowns. Terrible team this season, and don’t know how to use Howard. Trade him

This deal will get done for Howard but it’s Going to be more expensive then we would like that’s my prediction.
I’m guessing a member of the secondary goes to Tampa with the trade we won’t love it but it will be the right move.
That or a first a next season and a third the next based on performance.
They have us between a rock and a hard place.
We Will over pay and it will still be the right move.
