The open question is LeCosse. I suspect that BB likes him and would not have signed Watson had LeCosse been healthy. If LeCosse can play later this season, I suspect that we'll keep him on the 53. Otherwise, he goes on IR, to compete in camp in 2020.

I agree. Tomlinson is NOT awesome. Considering that we are replacing Jakob or Izzo, it doesn't take "awesome" to be a serious upgrade.

We often want "awesome" in the weeks before the trade deadline. That's basically trading a 1st or 2nd for a 2020 starter and for help for the rest of the season. We would all celebrate such a mood, although half of the posters would say that we paid too much.

And yes, we could use an awesome addition at C (Andrews to OG), OG, and TE. I wonder how many of us want to part with a 1st or 2nd, or are we all about "stealing" a player?

Some well known caller to Felger and Mazz who apparently has some Pats contacts claims that they will trade Bennett back to Philly, who is hurting at DT, and then will use that cap space to trade for Keenan Allen.

You are saying that Diggs (that IS indeed a star) and MIN that is in a win now mode, would have to eat a LOT of money and DEAD money is a possibility, but a young upcoming player like CG is dumb.

Maybe If a proposed a trade with Saints for Cooks a years ago would be dumb too ...

And create 5M is not easy and have consequences like not able to sign a player or 2 next year.

Unless things have changed, the remaining pro-rations from Diggs signing bonus would be accelerated to this year. So that would be $12M. The difference would be in how much Minn has paid him this year in Salary. So far, that is $3.24M (Salary + Workout Bonus , as of week 6). So, it's about an additional 3M in cap hit for this season.

That's not really a lot more money than the 12.468M he's already counting on the cap. And it would free up nearly 15M for them next season.

Cameron Brate had a nice game for the Bucs BB it shouldn't take much to acquire him. I'm done with that fragile Jag LaCosse... Izzo sucks as a Blocker but at least he's healthy.

Why do people think that TB is going to trade Brate, whom they just signed to a 5 yr-40.8M deal. They view him highly there.
