A year suspension is very harsh.
Lets hope Floyds is more in the 2 to 6 games range.

He can receive whatever Lord Goodell chooses to give him. The Fuhrer could say that since he could have killed someone this should be treated as attempted murder.

Correct me if Im wrong but I thought the most Floyd could receive was FOUR games as a 1st time offender in the NFL???

The commish can do whatever he wants. It is now permanently ingrained in law thanks to the US Court of Appeals Second Circuit.

Just hope Floyd will live and learn as you can only do so.

Well, First time dui (legal substance - illegal motor vehicle operation) versus third Time use of a Nfl-banned (? Illegal?) substance are too very Different things.

But gotohell will likely give out the 4 Game suspension, because after all he can argue that he issued it to a cardinals player (at time of incident).

My guess is 4 games for Floyd. Thats what Gregory got for 1st offense.

But who knows what Mr. Night of the Long Knives will do.

Ever notice how certain teams suddenly step up and crunch the competition, seemingly out of the blue?

I'm thinking of the 2003 Panthers, the Ravens of a couple of years ago...

Then we learned about the Panthers multiple steroid abusers, and the great deer-antler spray in Baltimore.

And now...the Cowboys. Their DL had gone off-the-charts in the last few weeks.

We're making a lot of assumptions as to him being re-signed to a new deal, healthy, active, no new additions to the WR position, etc. To take it one step further, potentially missing a couple/few games in September shouldn't really be that big of a deal.

Can you elaborate upon your last sentence/thought?

What, specifically do you mean by "their DL had gone off the charts in the last few weeks?"

Dont know what quoted poster (50-...) meant, but . .

Gregory did get to finally play in weeks 16&17 and did get a sack. I wonder If his suspension starts now or After the playoffs. . Hmmm

Yes, but remember this is Patriots we're talkin about. goodell* throws rule book out when comes to us so I wouldn't put anything past him & *nfl* coming up with some bogus hidden agenda.

Cowboys d line was suppose to be a joke but they all have been sneaky good firing off the ball and getting to the QB.
Whoever they field 3rd 4th string doesnt matter they all play well.

It was the first sack of his entire career. He's now serving a third suspension which started today and keeps him out likely through 2018. He's been a monumental bust, which is why no one wanted to take a shot at him to begin with. He obviously missed the entire season, aside from his last 2 meaningless games.
