The Foxborough injury bug is afffecting even ex-Patriots. First Woodhead...now Vereen.

Ouch, terrible for him. Funny that he played through it and didn't realize it was a problem until after the game. That's the same that happened here when he suffered his broken hand in week 1 of 2013, and wound up going on short-term IR.

Vareen was a very good "3rd down" RB for the Pats during his time here. Not only could he catch the ball, he could run with it too. Much better than James White, who can only do the former. Hopefully when DLewis gets back or AJ Foster develops, we can upgrade the position.

That being said, James White isn't awful, just not as good as Faulk, Woodhead, Vareen and Lewis. When you think about it, we've been pretty blessed the last 20 years with great 3rd down RB's
