I figured the only reason why they'd play hardball with Browner was if they knew they had a deal with Revis, and needed to free up some cap space. Keeping my fingers crossed.

A source told FOX Sports 1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo that the Patriots have not informed cornerback Brandon Browner they will be exercising his option, the latest in a string of New England defensive backfield free agency news.

If Browner was so valuable at his current compensation level, then why weren't the Patriots they able to get a single draft pick for him from 31 other teams when he was under contract for 2 more years?

The other 31 teams are stupid for not wanting an enforcer to make their secondary scary IMO. Receivers get scared when that man comes near them so i'll gladly have him back.
