#1 WR? Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo anyone?

The Pats will be lucky to win 4 games, with or without Aiyuk, why waste draft capital and cap space.

The Pats have no starting tackles, whoever will be at QB will be running for his life.

Here's the bottom line with Aiyuk: you can't get something for nothing in this league Wozzy. I will say this Stroud is going to be very very happy playing with two #1 WRs.
If I have to trade high daft capital and overpay for "good" I'll happily settle for nothing. Or I'll develop the cheap rookies and young WR's already here into good players on my own. Overpaying for merely good is a great way to get nothing in the rings category.

Diggs is on the backside of his career, nobody knows what a #1 WR is, but he is nearing that "veteran but still good" phase of life. That being said, football is about matchups and having an abundance of varied weapons is more important than having a lone #1. What Stroud might be missing is the offensive line to carry the entire unit, but Nico Collins is clearly a #1 WR... whatever that is.

Games are not played on paper we have a very good Defense: they just need a competentant Offense and Drake Maye can run. A lot of Teams we weren't expecting played well last year I expect the same from us.

The Niners took two WR's last Draft I know everybody loves Ricky Pearsall but I really like the other guy Jacob Cowing from Arizona: I think they got a steal in him solid prospect.
I like them both, Cowing is a slot for sure, the guy's tiny but he plays hard and does all the little things.

Pearsall would replace Aiyuk pretty easily if his game transitions to the pros, he's a better athlete than Aiyuk was.

Aiyuk can beat man coverage I think Pearsall is more of a zone beater guy.

I'd also say the offensive tackle position is an unknown with potential there, it's not totally devoid of talent. They could cobble together something for a season.

Pearsall's agility is elite, he'll shake the cleats off a lot of defenders if he gets it... no matter the coverage.

I think better Position Coaching in at those problem areas is going to be key to the success of this Team ie...QB - OL and WR.

Aiyuk did that countless times last year he's one of the better route runners in the league.

If they move Onwenu back to guard they'll have a strong interior with David Andrews and Sidy Sow... the big pocket passers at QB will have time to get off short to mid range passes. Van Pelt and the coaches will have to help the tackles with chip blocks and crackdowns in the run game.

We have no clue if Wallace can't step in immediately at RT, Anderson could have beaten malaria entirely and be ready to go. A dark horse Zuri Henry could surprise and be able to play a little, even Okorafor doesn't allow a lot of sacks. It's not all doom and gloom if the offensive brain trust scheme well and everybody else executes well.

Pearsall is bigger, faster and more mobile... if Aiyuk wants more than he's worth, which he seemingly does, the 49ers are prepared to move on.

Being a great negotiator means being able to walk away... Aiyuk is good, but he's not a max contract guy.

I am not that worried about the O-Line also the only position of question is LT. They will have a decent RT - RG - C and LG. Like you said they can scheme to help the LT position also Strange is dead to me I think Siddy Sow is going to be a serviceable LG bye bye Cole Strange.

I'm rooting for Strange to come back midseason, he could give them some depth for the playoff push and Onwneu could always shift outside again if there's injuries at RT. You can never have enough good players.

Being only 26 the NFL disagrees with you dude ain't even in his prime. FTR if Wolf ain't in on Aiyuk I would be shocked!

Sorry hated the pick then even more now not holding my breath on Cole Strange.

Wolf have Packer roots they sleep breathe and dream WR's I love the emphasis.

Being as nobody has traded a high draft pick and paid him already most of the NFL agrees with me.

I'm praying Wolf isn't that stupid...

He suffered a major injury, he played very well before that.

Rookies don't start the third most snaps on offense unless they're really good for a rookie... especially on a BB team.

A 2025 Second Rounder plus a hefty contract is the going rate. I mean we have up a Second for the worthless Sanu many moons ago.
