#1 WR? Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo anyone?

If anyone were willing to trade a high draft pick for him and pay him, it would have happened already.

Anyone willing to make that trade and spend that money is a fool.

San Francisco was prepared for this when they took a WR at the end of the first round. Nobody wants Aiyuk at that dollar amount, and San Fran wanting a high draft pick makes this a nonstarter. The first domino to fall has to be the 49ers willingness to let him go for a much later pick.
I agree but I know Aiyuk will get at least $25Mill a year when it's all said and done. I would be all over that with a Second included if I was Wolf.

That doesn't mean he'll do it as well.

A lot of people run Bill Walsh's west coast offense, they're not Bill Walsh or Andy Reid or Shanahan.

Mike McDaniels looks like an up and comer though.
Well.. we just have to see I think we all can collectively agree that we believe the offense will at least be watchable.. I'm not hear proclaiming well be the 07 patriots.. but we should be leaps and bounds better offensively

Any offense at all will be better than last season.

It doesn't hurt that he has those Elite WR's plus that speedy RB.

Sure, you would trade a 5th for him and pay him $15M a year. How generous! You do understand that neither the 49ers nor Aijuk's agent would even consider answering your calls.

What you are really saying is that you have no interest in signing him. That's fine. I might say that I wouldn't pay $20M for deebo. That would men nothing other than I had no real interest.
======
As is the case every year, I suspect that SF will come up with the money or that he will play for his current salary (or sit out if he wishes to do so).
+1 +1 +1

Anyone who trades for Aiyuk will be doing so with an agreement in place to give him $30+ million per year, otherwise they won't trade for him (because that's just inheriting SF's headache). It seems Aiyuk isn't interested in taking anything less.

So you weren't on board with pursing Ridley??
Ridley got overpaid.

I would have dropped out of bidding for his services when the money got stupid.

Well Wolf really wanted him me too: I hate Ridley's girlified I wish her nothing but the best.

Aiyuk will get $30Mill this year or next the Market will dictate that.
At one time the Pet Rock was the best selling gift in America, Milli Vanilli were considered the most talented Pop group in America... I try never to let other people's ability to do or believe something as a barometer for smart.

Dumb teams do dumb things all the time, it doesn't make them someone to emulate.

Ridley was being outperformed by Christian Kirk on his own team last season, both of them are good not great also.

Pay is one thing, overpay is another thing entirely, trade for and overpay is outright dumb.

So you would call Houston a Dumb Team?? They have Nico Collins and my binky Tank Dell and Traded for Diggs Hmmmm.

They drafted Nico Collins, drafted Tank Dell... they're cheap until it comes time for their next contract. Nico is a stud, Dell is a nice player, Demario is similar to him.

Diggs they got on a one year deal essentially, only paying his salary and no dead cap if they cut him outright, they traded the equivalent of a middle round pick for him... there's zero risk for them.

None of these situations is similar to Aiyuk.

Your move Wolf.

Here's the bottom line with Aiyuk: you can't get something for nothing in this league Wozzy. I will say this Stroud is going to be very very happy playing with two #1 WRs.

I'm sure Wolf is going be in that: the Ridley offer shows us that Wolf ain't sleeping on our WR situation. I think one of the quickest ways to develop a Young QB is surrounding him with very good talent Mac didn't have that luxury and it hurt his development.

The Niners took two WR's last Draft I know everybody loves Ricky Pearsall but I really like the other guy Jacob Cowing from Arizona: I think they got a steal in him solid prospect.
