Vikings deal Culpepper to Dolphins

Thank YOU, Free Agency Gods! The idea of facing Brees twice a year... eh... not so excited about.

If Culpepper come back anywhere near 100% it seems like a good deal for the Fins.

Ugh, I think Chambers and Culpepper will be a difficult pair to plan against. The Phins are the archenemy now. I don't expect victories down in Miami any more.

Yes I think we will have more head knocking games again I wonder what the
fans in South Florida think I have the feeling they probably wanted Brees more.

I'm hating the Fins even more..and that BBimposter Saban...But Culpepper will fumble and make mistakes..and..I doubt Miami will be as strong as many think...YES better than Brees...

good acquisition for the phins, but i'm glad it's not brees

I find it really interesting that they chose Culpepper... both he a Brees would likely command similar money in the future, but they chose the option that also included giving up a 2nd rounder. Does that speak to their love of Culpepper or their fear of Brees' shoulder?

I think that speaks to their fear of Tom Condon. He can be unreasonable. I'm happy it's Culpepper and not Brees.

Good point... and I agree, I much prefer to see Culpepper there than Brees.

All those cruises out of Miami better watch out, on the bright side Miami hos are better than having to ship them in from Atlanta

Culpepper wasn't impressed me very much yet. The Vikings started to win only when he got injured last year. Through out his career he has be a very up and down QB, too inconsistent.

:singing: 'Happy days are here again...'

I join the crowd that's happier they gave up a pick, AND picked the wrong QB. Culpepper can be a weapon, but he's easier to gameplan than a steady guy like Brees. Also, Culpepper's knees are shot right now, and even if he heals, he'll likely be less dangerous, mobility-wise.

I agree with you on the Tom Condon issue is this the same guy that held
Ben Watson out for so long and then he fired him and got another agent.

I hope you're right. I for one consider Miami an improving team. Dream team of coaches. Finally a "real" QB. Watch out in the next couple years. At least they didn't get Givens!

Anyone else get the feeling that the Dolphins had to "settle" for Culpepper after they couldn't get a deal worked out with Brees?

It will be interesting to see how BB reacts to this in regards to the #3 QB position. BB usually brings in a guy who can mimic a majority of the QBs the Pats will be facing during the year.

Yup, exactly.

Culpepper without Randy Moss and with a bad knee does not strike fear in my heart. IMHO, Moss and his ability to buy time with his scrambling ability are the only reasons this guy was ever a Pro Bowler.

Am I the only one who thinks Drew Brees isn't that great? There is a reason that he was let go.
