You don't let it go to trial. Mandatory sentence is if you are found guilty of that charge. Prosecutor can reduce the charges, the judge can suspend the sentence and you only serve it if you get arrested again. There is all sorts of ways he doesn't go to jail

    Jack Jones News Update Thread

No, Mass has draconian gun laws and its ridiculous that something legal in the majority of the country carries mandatory minimums there. It's an infringement on people's 2nd amendment rights. But this won't ever go to trial, the only way it does is if they've got someone they can prove put the...

    Jack Jones News Update Thread

I dunno man, it seems like a consequential part of the conversation. Especially if people are out to vilify him for something that is nothing but a fine in more than half the states

It says it right there, it goes in the same case as the gun

    Jack Jones News Update Thread

No it doesn't, you can keep your ammo in the same case. Where are you getting these rules from? The ammo isn't going to jump into the gun while it's packed in your luggage

Hand guns don't "accidentally" discharge, especially with modern handguns. You need to pull the trigger for them to go bang. That is called a negligent discharge, when they go bang when you didn't intend.

I would be surprised if this goes to trial. Right now his lawyer is negotiating a plea deal. Getting to get the charges down to some misdemeanor counts, probation, and home confinement with the ability to work

    Jack Jones News Update Thread

I think the real question is why is something that is completely fine and legal in most states in the country so draconian up north. Seems completely unnecessary

Weve spent 200 years debating every aspect of the constitution. Not sure what your point is

There are adults in the room. The fact is that 250 year old document had created the most prosperous country in known history. Equality and rights have bever been a higher level and that idea of democracy has been exported to many parts of the world, rising up standards of living everywhere. You...

Not every word is racist. Enough with trying to make everyone a racist all the time.

Thats not the point i was making, reading into my statement much? I was asking because he said it required a license

[Edited thread title] Jack Jones arrested for possession of firearms at airport

Yes, but that's not a criminal offense federally, its a large fine

Really? Does the tv require a background check too?

[Edited thread title] Jack Jones arrested for possession of firearms at airport

He ran afoul of state laws though. Which is why he was arrested, if this was florida or Texas, itsa fine from TSA.

[Edited thread title] Jack Jones arrested for possession of firearms at airport

I dr no reason there would be federal, illegally possessed is probably at the state level. Since MA likes to make criminals out of people that own legal guns in many other states
