I feel like there is a whole element of analysis left out. High percentage throws that don't net a lot of yards aren't going to help the team win. I would bet dollars to donuts those receivers have a much much lower yards per reception start than the top 4 receivers in the league...

Short game and screens still work, they just cant be your primary method attack. You have to get your safeties and CB providing cusion and respecting the deep ball threat. You have to suck the LB's down and clear out space in the middle of the field. Getting the D to respect the deep threat...

I really dont like the play calling. Not enough downfield throws. Our receivers are not getting open and we have 0 deep threat. So teams are clogging the short / intermediate field. Pats are going to be somewhat offensively anemic if they dont make some changes there

Well. Play calling has been an issue. They are throwing behind the LOS too much, but Mac heaving deep balls that land no where hasnt helped. Its causing teams to crowd the box/intermediate passing lanes. Mac needs to elevate his game too.
