It probably is bad for ratings just because people love those vintage hollywood underdog stories but I think that kind of puts a fork in the "NFL is rigged" tin-foil hat ideas that are out there. I'd rather see a team that has already won the Superbowl win it, anyway. Keep it an exclusive group.

It wouldn't tarnish it in the slightest. Every Superbowl from here on out for Tom Brady is pretty much all icing on the cake at this point. It's like the ripped bodybuilders with 3% body fat that you see go to the gym more often than you do. You think, "now they're just rubbing it in".
