PATRIOTS NEWS 2026 Patriots OTAs - Second Open Media Day (6/2)

Breaking New England Patriots Team News
Who cares about hang time if it only goes 30 yards downfield. He was one of the most underrated poor performs of the year, and mostly in the big moments in the playoffs. I can't believe the team isn't addressing this. He was very disappointing a lot of the time.
If he's kicking it from his 49 yard line, going 30 yards down field is a good thing. No. Baringer wasn't "very disappointing a lot of the time". You're another one who alwaysw reacts emotionally and can't be bothered to look at things like field position and who is being kicked to. Maybe learn the game instead of reacting emotionally and showing everyone just how clueless you are.

Baringer had ONE bad punt. Ever other one was done well. Including 2 in which his coach TOLD HIM to kick it OOB. Don't like it? OH WELL.

With the team not getting a look at Julian Hill all year, I wonder if that leads to an extension for Hunter Henry sooner rather than later.
Henry isn't getting an extension unless he put up a 1000 yard season and snags 10 TDs.

It was more than one bad punt, but he was dealing with injury and playing through it.

You're trying to explain this to people who think you should cut the punter after one shank, despite having a case for MVP of the first half of the year. Baringer is not, and never has been, going anywhere.

In case people don't remember regarding Gabe Jacas absence, Tre'veon Henderson was also slow to report last year.

First round picks contracts are guaranteed, so the money is already banked. Guaranteed money for second round picks keeps extending deeper into the round, so it sets up for second rounders to have more contentious contract negotiations. If the second round guy drafted in front of you is fully guaranteed, then why shouldn't I be.

He'll be there eventually.

More about having known commodities in place going into 2027. Dependent on if he’s willing to take a relatively team friendly deal. It would also let them push some cap hit dollars into the future if desired.

IF they're all healthy we might have to move a WR or two. Pop Douglas sounds like he's having a Strong camp: has he figured out McDaniels Offense from the Slot?? Also intrigued to see where Kyle Williams is at he could be a DeVonta Smith type in this Offense.

H Henry is overrated here he can't Block for $h!t...I hate those kind of TE's. Eli Raridon please make him our #2 TE by mid season. A Blocking TE is going to do wonders for this Offense. CJ Dippre I hope you ain't just Big for nothing.

Need to get the starting corners out there to get a sense for how the wrs are doing
A.J. is going to Schoool all of them including Gonzo.

Here's the problem, in a nutshell:

51. Jake Golday: 4/$9.6M, $8.39M guaranteed, $3.44M signing bonus

52: Brandon Cisse: 4/$9.36M, first 3 years and part of 4th guaranteed, $3.31 signing bonus

53. CJ Allen: 4/$9.14M, $7.64M guaranteed, $3.1M signing bonus

54. Eli Stowers: 4/$8.89M, $7.93M guaranteed, $2.93M signing bonus

55 Gabe Jacas: Unsigned

56. Nate Boerkircher: 4/$8.54M, $3.82M guaranteed, $2.67M signing bonus

57. Logan Jones: Unsigned

58. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren: 4/$8.35M, $6.52M guaranteed, $2.53M signing bonus

59. Marlin Klein: 4/$8.18M, fully guaranteed, $2.41M signing bonus

60. Anthony Hill: 4/$8.11M, $6.12M guaranteed, $2.34M signing bonus

The big problem is #56 Nate Boerkircher signed for less than 50% of his contract guaranteed, whereas everyone else is upwards of 80% guaranteed.

Jacas' contract should be around 4/$8.72M with around $7-7.5M guaranteed.

It could be contract related, it could be due to his hamstring or whatever kept him from working out at the combine. Either way, until we hear he’s medically unfit there’s no need to panic. These are shorts and tees practices. Better to get him healthy and ready for camp.

Just get Gabe Jacas signed before Mini Camp next week.

Pop always has a strong camp, he is a 7 on 7 superstar.

He had the most productive year of his career last year, but he just turned 31 not sure he has another big deal coming. If his family likes the area maybe he takes team friendly deals to end his career here.
