NFL News Maxx Crosby to Ravens (Update - Ravens Backing Out of the Deal)

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
With the Ravens backing out of the trade I think a lot of FA deals are going to be backtracked, by the Raiders and which ever team now trades for Maxx

Supposedly, the Pats had a deal in place but Brady quashed it. That's what the scuttlebutt was. I don't know if it was true or not. If it is, that speaks volumes about how bad the relationship is between him and the Krafts.
I'm not buying that.
Say NE offered 2 1sts, the only reason Brady would turn that down is because Balt's picks are higher.
I just can't believe any NFL/GM exec would have any agenda but to make THEIR team better, whatever offer was the best.
Of course exclude certain owners who are off their rocker, but I can't imagine Brady is that delusional.

Ripple effects on this should be interesting. Raiders already signed Koontz and Paye. They will be motivated sellers
Technically 'agreed in principle' until tomorrow.

I think it all depends as to what Crosby's 'medical issue' is. Crosby's not playing for Vegas again, so it's in the Raiders' court.

“Mr Linderbaum?

Tom Brady wants to talk to you on line two.”

A bunch of people in Vegas shaking their fists, is all that will happen.
League year hasn't started yet.

This is why the “tampering period” is a joke. Teams and free agents to be should be able to begin the process the day the franchise tag deadline ends.

They can't possibly backtrack on those contracts at this point. No one will sign with the Raiders going forward either.

Twity Paye on line 1

NFL will step in and force the trade through

This is a very interesting development.
Crosby is due a lot of money, he won't refuse to play there and give up that bag.
I'm intrigued.

Doubtful. If it was contingent on passing a physical and he failed the physical then that’s that. They’d have to prove that it was a shoddy physical or the reason for failure was not reasonable.

“Hey Howie, it’s Vrabes. You see this Crosby ****? Wild huh? So anyway, Tommy is texting me and says he will do Crosby for a 1st, so I’m gonna be fresh out of cap space here, just wanted to let you know I’m not gonna be able to trade for AJ like we had been talking about. Unless, you know, maybe you’ve changed your mind on my previous offer? Just lemme know before tomorrow morning, I got a cardio session to run to. Later boss”
