NFL News OT: Dolphins Releasing Tua Tagovailoa

Poor Jaylen Waddle...what a waste of a career. I would ask if they intend on moving him. This Miami Rebuild is going to take a very long while.
Bills wouldn't give up a first round pick for him. I imagine he's gotta be on the block still.

They made a ****ing MOVIE out of it.
That's the level of 'goddamn moron' he is. Too stupid for the NFL. Do you know how low of a bar that is?
Credit to him, though, he must have stones the size of Mount Everest to continue staying in the public consciousness and on television when everyone knows he was tricked into a fake relationship over the phone for months by a man who was just raising his voice to make it sound like a woman. I think most people would disappear after that. Then again, maybe he's too dumb to be embarrassed about it?

I can't see Waddle being too happy there playing wise... the Miami nightlife is another story. IF I am Vrabel I'm asking around.

Which was beyond idiotic if true. They beat Denver with Waddle imo.

Do they beat Seattle? No. But good chance of them at least getting there.

I think he just assumes most people have forgotten about it by now.
Unfortunately for him, this falls under my "the **** I don't forget about" bucket.

Waddle plays quarterback?

Dolphins would likely want a first if it's anybody in the division asking for him.

Same. And if they really are tanking, they'll be happy to move him. Who's even the QB there at this point, Quinn Ewers? Will they even bother drafting or signing a new starter?

He's worth it Jaylen Waddle is better than Alec Pierce: with all due respect to Pierce.

You've been huffing the Pierce Copium too long to even let this escape your fingertips.
Still very young just going into the prime of his career. What's not to like??

A little over 56 million. For this year. Another 34 million for next year
And it's more that just a cap hit, they have to actually cut a $56MM check as well. (OUCH) That creates a Russel Wilson scenario, where the team that signs him (say the Jets) will only have to pay him $1.3MM this season

Great time to retire, tbh.
Yeah…this guy might actually die if he gets hit again. Just sit in a booth, let your brain heal and enjoy life. Hopefully his CTE will be manageable. As a human being I do not want to see this guy play again and risk further damage.

HOF wide receiver Tyquan Thornton is on the NFLN right now. Amazing how they managed to get one of the all time greats .

There are a number of guys like that out there, too. The Jets have their pick of the litter: Tua, Kyler, Geno.

Why would Tua retire and take nothing when he can sit tight, get released and collect @$100M?
"Oh no Mr Ross, please keep your money"

It depends on how his contract was written. Davante Parker's contract [ugh] had a clause voiding any remaining guarantees if he retired.

I'm shocked that they couldn't figure out a way to trade him. Have to wonder if they designate him as a June 1st cut just to help with the cap hit..

Per Schefter, they are. That said, they still have to carry the whole cap hit until 6/2.

It's an intentional tank, again.
Stephen Ross is making a mockery of the league for what, the 4th or 5th time, and no one seems to give a ****.
