It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I think you are perhaps overreacting to the word pessimist or to what others have posted. My post in this thread used pessimism in the context of the deal for AJ Brown for a 1st and a 3rd getting done. I just don't think he's worth the asking price at this phase of his career. I'd rather get someone younger, cheaper and on the way up. But as I wrote, if Vrabel really feels he's worth the price, I'd be in because he knows the player so well. The fact they're still talking suggests there is strong interest on our side, but at our price.
I'm overall not optimistic nor pessimistic about next season. I never make my mind up this early. I used to wait till the end of pre-season decades ago, but now that pre-season is so meaningless I usually wait till after Game 4 to really decide what I think. Having a deal for AJ Brown done wouldn't change my mind much because we wouldn't know what we could have had for the 1st and the 3rd, and we won't know much about how he does here till we play a few games. Could be he goes into diva mode for whatever reason and the whole thing is a bust.
Not exactly. You’re right, Boutte is totally unlike Brown. He’s still on the team that drafted him, instead of being such a PITA that not one but two teams have run him out of town despite his football talent.
Yeah the Eagles have overplayed their hand to a severe degree. They've really lost all leverage at this point. AJ Brown will either be dealt for relatively poor value today or he will not be moved at all, NE will sign Pierce tomorrow instead, and there will be a lot of drama in Philadelphia this season. It feels like the Eagles have gone so overboard with trying to make it look like they'll keep Brown that the entire NFL is convinced that they want to trade him away. The Pats seem to be content with being the highest bidder of the 31 teams, without it being necessary to bid against the Eagles' option of keeping him.
If he is dealt it will be for fair value which is a second a fifthYeah the Eagles have overplayed their hand to a severe degree. They've really lost all leverage at this point. It’s also possible that 24 hours later. AJ Brown goes to the Chargers for a haul, Pierce signs back with Indy and we’re settling on “we like our guys”.Yeah the Eagles have overplayed their hand to a severe degree. The Titans traded Brown because Jon Robinson who was with the Patriots for a long time didn’t want to pay Brown and wanted to do a BB and trade him and replace him with someone from the draft. You’re right, Boutte is totally unlike Brown. Going into next season with the current roomIt doesn't seem like A.J. Brown to the Pats is going to happen so we'll have to Double Dip. I wouldn't mind coming away with a Ted Hurst or Chris Bell: then adding a Germie Bernard or Antonio Williams for our Volume Slot. Any of those combinations is fine with me plus we have Boutte and Kyle Williams already in the wings. Draft and Develop Your own is the way to go for WR: we have a Good Young QB and plenty of time.
Patriots playing with fire...

If they make a 20 game season with world games I believe Kraft is in. Last year feelings are not this years reality.Kraft has clearly given the control of the roster to Vrabel, he's not making decisions on who to pay. Last season he laid out a huge amount in free agency, and there is absolutely no indication he is going to undercut Vrabel, if anything they have been clearing cap space to go hard at free agency again this season.
I honestly really hope he signs with the Pats because your crash out is going to be pretty bad if not.If the Colts were going to give him 100 million they would have done so already. For some reason you just keep ignoring Pierce's statements on what he wants to do.
