The 2021 Bengals were the next closest team in all of these categories.

On the other hand, their big signings last year (Williams, Diggs, Davis, Landry) account for much more of the Patriots' cap (35%) than the Bengals' top four did (20%).

Also, Vrabel is the only new coach to do it. Eight of the other twelve did it in year two or three; the other four in year four or five.

It'll be fascinating to see where this team goes from here.

As Maye said in his presser Seattle is the standard they have to reach. They were the best team in football and deserved the Lombardi. I love what the Patriots accomplished this season, and I'm really excited about their future. I think this offseason will be strong, and all of the experience the rookies got is going to pay off big time for them going forward.

I am just sick of the long-standing deeply held angst against teams losing in the Super Bowl. The focus on claiming that they choked, they had an awful season, they need to tear the roster down, they aren't ready for the big stage, etc. As if 30 other teams were better for not having gotten to the big show and lost. I saw countless posts and memes about how the Patriots now have more Super Bowl losses than anyone else. News flash- every team that didn't get there had an outcome worse than a super bowl loss. We've been to 10 Super Bowls and won 6 since the last time the Dolphins even won a single playoff game. There's much to build on here.
