You sound a bit delusional and banking on the assumption that every Pats fan thought this was Dynasty 3.0. No one thinks that...
NE has great ownership, great management (outside the Mayo thing...), a great head coach and staff, and a franchise QB. They're a young team with a lot of room to grow, a lot of draft picks, and a lot of financial capital. Dynasty 2.0 remains "over", as if that's news.. but the team you see now has as much potential as anyone else in the AFC outside of KC (taking a year off).
I get it, the Pats have made you hurt on a personal level and you're here to troll, but I recommend you work that out somehow. The Pats will be n the playoff mix next year, take your own advice and don't get emotionally invested in it.
Delusional? Banking on the assumption?
It's history repeating itself as it always does.
You know what's delusional. Living vicariously through jocks on your tv. Yelling at your TV as if they hear or care what you think while they make 7 digits.

It doesn't matter what you think of the ownership. It's over. There is no potential. It's a facade. Are you going to cycle your life to waste your emotions every September through December over a tv football team? There's no Brady or Belichick. It's over. Lombardi era ended. Landry era ended. Shula era ended. Madden /Flores era ended. It's over. If you're a self aware adult it should be blatantly obvious.

Huh? The pats have made me hurt on a personal level? What? Is that seriously where your mind goes? It's a ****ing sports entertainment TV show. I haven't been emotionally involved since I was 15. Im 60. It's just sports on tv. Doesn't change your life whether they win or lose. It's over.

I don’t think it has to do with the NFL wanting new teams in the SB - I think the Patriots just don’t have a talented enough roster to get back for at least a couple years (barring a situation where they have the easiest schedule in the NFL and get to play multiple backup quality QB’s in the playoffs again).

When you step back and look at how they made it this year, it truly was an incredible set of circumstances. Stroud playing the worst football of his life over the past month, Stidham in the AFCCG, one of the easiest schedules in NFL history, etc.

There is a reason why I was confidently able to predict the blowout.

And then there‘a Maye. Who just had the worst postseasons for a QB in NFL history. How is his confidence now? I’m sure everyone will say he’ll be fine. But he was bad for 3 straight playoff games. He has now played ~30 games in the NFL which is about when QB’s have enough tape to be figured out (if they’re going to be).

Can we ban this Girl from the North Country already? @Ian @Ross12 @mike_usagisan

For him to show up today is an affront to sportsmanship and good taste.

Won't matter. This SB was their Swan song.
In not joking. I'm not trolling. Any of you older guys should be able to read the writing on the wall. The NFL ritual is - every decade has one or teams that reach/win 2 or 3 super bowls and then it's someone else's turn. Even the Pats in all their success only did it that way. A gap between each 3. They, like the Browns , had a 20 year run of Greatness. Brady is gone. It's over. I won't be wrong band I know I won't be wrong. The NFL will move on to someone else or cycle back to another team. The Patriots were beaten by a journeyman back up QB and a young coach. They started by losing to the Packers and finish by losing to Seattle. Watch football if you like it. But dont waste time getting emotionally involved anymore. It's not worth your adult brain space. It's over

Wow, nice emotional rant... Solid coping there. Cheers

You’re soft as butter my friend. I stay in my lane in the Bills threads. I was not in the gameday thread or the postgame thread chatting about this.
You had multiple hissy fits here a few weeks ago so save the bravado act for your plate of Buffalo Wild Wings. And not your friend.

If you're going to try amateur gaslighting. You have to first be intelligent. Emotional? No, it's called analyzing something for years.

Re. "soft as butter" ...

This is the same Pats roster that went 3-14 last season … just with a couple extra players. They didn’t suddenly get better. They got lucky. And will revert back next year.

When you step back and look at how they made it this year, it truly was an incredible set of circumstances. Stroud playing the worst football of his life over the past month, Stidham in the AFCCG, one of the easiest schedules in NFL history, etc.

You’re going to have to do something at the WR position this offseason (Bills too). Diggs is washed, and a no-show in the playoffs like every year. Hollins is probably your best WR, which is not ideal.

Also the offensive line was exposed badly. Campbell is a bust at LT. Put him at Guard, or at least RT.

If I am being objective and remove my lenses of you as a bills fan , you are right. I am not saying you were 100% right earlier, but as for future , it looks that way . We had fortuitous circumstances and maye playing in MVP level which unfortunately unraveled in post season. Not sure if it was oline or accumulated injuries on Maye end , as a fan we could hope he learns from these and gets back stronger.

And yes, we have more questions than answers now , not because of the loss , but the way in which we lost .

Why are you here at all? We’re Patriots fans on a site for Patriots fans. We just lost the Super Bowl. Are you here to gloat?

Just a suggestion, but maybe you should take care of your own dysfunctional house.

And yet you didn't analyze anything. You just posted hysterics.

You are mad because the Patriots passed the Bills this season. Maye didn't implode against the Broncos like Josh Allen did. This is why we went to the Super Bowl and you didn't. Our team was the best of the AFC but not nearly as good as the best of the NFC. I know it makes it difficult for the Bills to cope with these facts.

Speaking of the Bills... wouldn't surprise me if the Pats visit them on SNF in their new stadium on opening night.

The Bills vs the NFC this year:

Wins:
- Saints (6-11)
- Panthers (8-9)
- Buccaneers (8-9)

Losses:
- Falcons (8-9)
- Eagles (11-6)

The Patriots were 5-0 vs the NFC in the regular season, with their only NFC loss being in the actual Super Bowl against the best team in the NFC.

There is a world of difference though between the talent on the Seattle team compared to the talent on the Patriots, Bills, Broncos, Texans or Jaguars.

I am just commenting on what you said - the Pats were the best of the AFC and lost to the best of the NFC. The Pats were 5-0 against the NFC up until they hit the Seahawks. The Bills were 3-2 against NFC teams this year and 0-1 against NFC teams with winning records. No reason to think they'd have won against Seattle. Zero.

I have a lot of respect for you for being honest.

I know im a Bills fan but nearly every prediction I have made on this forum has come true.

I think there is a good chance that the Bills would have lost to Seattle yesterday too. Seattle runs a defense that we don’t do well against. But it would have been much more closer and a fun game.

That being said, the Patriots were not the best of the AFC. They weren’t even top 3 of the AFC. They were only in the Super Bowl because they played the Broncos without a QB, the Bills knocked Jacksonville out, and the refs removed Buffalo from the equation. A healthy Bills, Jags and Broncos were all better teams than the Patriots.

I know you all like to bring up regular season games, but they simply don’t matter. The Patriots lost to the Raiders in the regular season - are the Raiders a better team? Of course not. You especially can’t compare records vs the NFC when one team is playing the defending SB champs and the other is playing the Giants.

Would you be kind enough to list your top 3? By top I mean those of consequence.

Would you be kind enough to list your top 3? By top I mean those of consequence.

Top 3 what? Predictions?

1) I told you the Patriots were going to be blown out in the Super Bowl. A couple people asked by how much. I said final score will be 10-13 point Seattle win, but only because of a garbage time TD that makes the score closer than it was. Nailed it.

2) Back in 2020 when the Pats beat the Bills in that game where they passed like 3 times, this whole forum was erupting and stating that the Pats were back. I posted that the game was a fluke and the Bills would not only win the rematch but any playoff matchup would be one sided too. Bills won the rematch and dismantled the Pats in the playoffs. Nailed it.

3) I posted that Pats would beat Houston and Denver. Nailed it.

There are more, but those are just 3 off the top of my head.
