The kid just doesn’t seem to have that dawg in him that you wanna see. The greats all do. Can that be learned?Yeah, I don’t hate Maye. I’m being critical of him because it comes from disappointment. I’m ok with the loss. I watched a lot of superbowls and this one was just an extra to me. Wish we won but what it is.
I think what infuriated me with Maye tho was both his body language and how he kept taking sack after sack and refused to throw the ball away. He didn’t seem fired up enough to me neither. He can and will learn from this but this was a game to forget from him
The Seahawks were projected to be the better team and they clearly proved it. Not like we got upset or made a heart breaking play or two that lost it for us.Yeah, this one only bothered me for maybe a minute or two. Already over it. I wanted the win obviously but I got to watch a lot of Patriot winning football. Getting to enjoy this one was simply cream on the cake. I didn’t need it but am still happy it was there. Thank you New England for letting me enjoy another one
Also had another one into triple coverage. If that's Maye's style going forward they need to complement it with the right type of receiver(s) not what they had out there. That was Mayo’s Maye returning. He defaulted to some bad issues I saw plenty of last year. He needs to play from behind a bit next year and learn to win and keep composure. His mind was gone after the fumble.
Going to go out on a limb that you don't have kids, a wife and don't own a home. Anyone who has such hatred built up for someone on an anonymous message board must have a very sad existence. I pray that your life finds some happiness because you are saying some pretty ridiculous things to and about someone you don't know. Get a grip dude.No they don’t, assholes do that.
You don’t have an argument so mine can’t be a losing one.
You have proven yourself to be an *******. It’s not an insult it’s a fact.
You ate the worst of the worst. You sit in your dingy trailer cashing your welfare check and cry about how embarrassing these players and coaches who are actually successful in life are.
I have no doubt you kicked your dog when you realized the win you think you are owed wasn’t going to happen, that is unless you had to sell your dog to pay for your Viagra because your cousin wanted a little.
Trade up for TE Kenyon Sadiq. He’s a true weapon on offense. He has improved his blocking as well. I’m hoping we sign some OL in free agency. Definitely need to hit on some WR & TEs in the draft/FA. Need some speed and explosiveness. Kyle Williams was a HUGE disappointment at WR. Need some players that scare defenses. Williams and Henderson were on milk cartons in the playoffs. 0 TDs combined in the playoffs.I want to keep the 31st pick. Great spot to get a huge upgrade at TE or OL.
It does feel weird to say, but this game basically came down to Darnold staying upright enough to get a few extra first downs that led to field goals compared to us. They talk about trading 7's for 3's, but we were trading 3's for non drives. Like 4 more first downs in the first half, and it's a close game and that TD in the 4th is maybe the pull ahead score that makes it tough for Seattle to overcome.Sam Darnold of the last few years has been really good and it wasn’t like he lit the Pats D up. He played well enough for his team to win.
This is what I’m trying to say but you said it better. It didn’t feel like he had the dawg in him today. I barely saw any emotion out of him. It wasn’t a good look imoThis is bothering me way more than the loss. The kid just doesn’t seem to have that dawg in him that you wanna see. The greats all do. Can that be learned?
They really need to go back and comb over all his snaps in wins against the better pass rushers through the course of the season because if we get into next season and it continues to looks like this against a much tougher schedule they're going to look incompetent. There was a point this year where Campbell was statistically one of the best lineman in the league. Everything since his return from injury has been a total flip of the switch and I'm not sure whether it's prudent to chalk it up to coming back too early or if it's just better defenses really having his number.
They punched above their weight even getting here, but I still would like to have seen a game instead of the offense looking overwhelmed and like they didn't belong.
Especially because I do believe that young QB's can seriously be affected by losses like this and confidence matters (it's not a surprise that Brady, Montana and Bradshaw all won early and sustained it throughout their careers).
Campbell is another issue. He was awful these playoffs, but he also has been struggling since coming back from that injury, so I wonder how much of it is that.
Josh needs to really work HARD with Maye all off season imo. He needs to be better at reads and recognize pressure. He can't be boom or bust all the time
Ummm...the game plan was apparently run the ball on first down 4/5 first plays of drives 1st half. They failed. The one pass? A 23 completion to Boutte. Mcdaniels was so ****ing predictable all playoffs w running on first down
Then the Pats will lose their 1st round pick for lying on the injury report. You just can’t take a player off the injury report if he’s dealing with a major injury.Maybe Maye really is dealing with a somewhat serious injury.
Wrong on all counts.Going to go out on a limb that you don't have kids, a wife and don't own a home. Darnold didn’t beat us, his defense didDarnold made two good throws, both on 3rd down. Most QBs would have beaten us.
