Rewatching The Warriors movie

There's a Warriors game from Rockstar games released in 2005 that has great reviews. It was released before the great Bully game by them. I haven't played it yet, but I do want to.
 
The movie theater wouldn't let me in because it was rated R and I wasn't old enough. The first and only movie I ever snuck into.
 
TIL that the DJ was the woman who played The Chief on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?.

The Warriors is an absolutely fascinating movie. Based on a book in the 60s which is based on an old Greek story thousands of years old (obviously changed from the source material).

But to me, the most interesting thing about it is that it is IMO the first and best 'video game movie'. And I know the actual video game to it came years after and it was not made with that in mind. But if you watch it you see that is pretty much functions narratively, visually, audio wise and plot wise as a video game more than a movie in many ways.

I think it in part heavily inspired how video games function, but I have proof of that.

She was on a lot of shows in the 80s. I remember seeing her on Square One TV on PBS.
