Hey Josh and Lamar FTR: Patrick Mahomes - Drake Maye - Joe Burrow and even Justin Herbert to some extent: won't make your desires any easier in 2026.

I know controversy helps keep the forum interesting ... but c'mon sometimes the other guys are good guys. Josh is a good guy.
I've tried my best to like Josh. I even attended the University of Wyoming for grad school a couple years before Josh arrived, so I like to cheer for the alums that make it to the NFL (Frank Crum on the Broncos for example).

I can't get over Josh's egregious acting/flopping. Wish I could though.

I can't blame the KC fans for thinking Mahomes is the real deal. He is and started out just like Brady. I never thought that anyone would approach Brady's records but I have to admit that I was worried about this kid at the beginning. Not so much now.

I wonder how many more fans the NYFL brought in because of the swifties.
I never said he wasn't the real deal. I said he's not the GOAT. could he become the GOAT? Sure, but he's not yet. I felt the same thing about Tom before he got #4. I thought it was disrespectful to Bradshaw and Montana, but to each their own.

What Allen said isn't that bad. He is right. He screwed up and turned the ball over too much and if he didn't, the Bills would have gone to the AFCCG.

The last part of probably playing another game is a little ridiculous since he is 1-1 against the Patriots this year and he beat the Pats when they were depleted with injuries (Williams, Spillane, Tonga, Campbell, Wilson). So there is no probably that he would have made the Super Bowl. Possibly.

NESN has unfortunately devolved into clickbait for many or most of their headlines.

I guess it's the only way they can create any web traffic.
LOL so you even got duped? He, yesterday, said that if he had played better they would have won in Denver, not got the coach fired and would be preparing for another game right now. This was yesterday.

That is saying they would have beat the Patriots without saying it.

I like that Pegula put Allen in the middle of the coaching search and is enabling him to run the team. They didn’t bring in a coach from the outside so there’ll be even more pressure on Allen to win every week, and to win the whole thing. It’s an implosion waiting to happen imo.

I think at this point...

0 rings

0 SB appearances

Most likely outcome
I don't see him spending his entire career there. With this playing style and hitting 30 next year it's 50/50 if hes in a Bills uniform in 2029 (which is when his $35m roster bonus is paid).

Maybe, but he's also a hardo who wouldn't want to turn his back on Buffalo - so he'll spend his career there continuously failing to even make it out of the AFC... jmo

His actress wife will pull the plug on Buffalo and his hardo.

What top QB doesn't believe he'll win? And he even couched it with, "probably."

I don't think there's anything here.
There's a big difference between saying "probably" and "possibly."

Allen is an accomplished, Veteran NFL QB who made a Rookie PR fumble.
I understand and even respect that he's salty that the Drake Maye Pats are going to an SB while he hasn't been able to get there himself. But, you just plain, flat-out don't say this kind of stuff in public.

Anyone know what exactly this presser was for? Was it a “let’s clear the air, I didn’t/did get my coach fired” announcement or something? Maybe a get to know the new coach presser, I dono ….gotta give it to the **** stirrer mediots these days. Clicks = traffic = $$$.

After Buffalo lost to Denver, I was listening to the LA sports talk and Eric ****erson said Allen has to stop running around as the hits are adding up. Also mentioned his supporting cast is crap.

He's stuck in Buffalo for a while as he should've never signed that contract in 2025. How did he not see the team getting worse each season he's been there? And Buffalo will refuse to give him up going to a new stadium and how it took them 20 years to find a good to elite QB. If he kicks and screams enough after 2027, he may get his wish of being traded. But I wouldn't count on it. Like you said, it's most likely 2029. One team to look at for when Stafford retires is the Rams. I'm sure Josh's wife will push for a trade there.

Still don’t grasp how people think this is clickbait. Just because he didn’t literally say “we would be in the Super Bowl and we would have beaten NE along the way and they suck by the way” doesn’t mean the headline’s wrong. Allen was claiming if he had made 1 more play they would currently be prepping for the Super Bowl. Where’s the clickbait?

Maybe he didn’t mean to disrespect the Patriots specifically and was just being supremely overconfident, but that doesn’t change that he DID do so. Intention doesn’t really matter.

The important thing here is:

These are only phrases spoken if you've lost. It's why they're silly to say out loud. So glad we won so it literally makes no sense for any of our players to say that. All we can say is "we're onto the game with Seattle."

Winning keeps the quotes short
