For me it’s the way he treated Brady, the way he put himself above the team at the end, and candidly the creepy assed girlfriend situation and UNC debacle.

I wasn’t one who loved the way he treated press. Plenty of times I said out loud “can you just answer a ****ing question and maybe not blow snot rockets at the podium?”

You aren’t entirely wrong about Kraft…but I do think any other owner and we don’t have 10 superbowl appearances in that span.
You're a freaking drama queen.
Who cares about UNC?
Why should I care about his girlfriend?
This is teenage girl gossip stuff.
I think you have really lost your way.

How did he put himself above the team?
What was his poor treatment of Brady?

The thing that really angered Brady relative to Belichick was the fact that Belichick banned Guerrero. Their relationship was a normal one but for that. Belichick though was 100% right in banning Guerrero and Brady felt insulted at the banning. Why? Because Brady thought Guerrero knew better than all the New England trainers. Brady used to go around telling other players that they do weight training wrong, that instead of building muscle, they should focus on pliability to avoid injury!!!! He was 100% brainwashed by Guerrero. I'm not even criticizing him for it since that level of maniacal religious devotion is what kept him healthy so late in his career. Great for us! But you can't have that mania sweep the locker room.

They did not say “it was fine to film from the field” they said it was fine to film from specific locations. Bill argued it was vague, and admitted to misunderstanding. Hence why there was no punishment. The second time (Jets) he absolutely knew it was wrong, did it anyway, and the NFL specifically cited “previous conduct “ in determining the punishment (which was heavy handed).

But it was a pattern of pushing the envelope.

We clearly have different views of Bill.

Who cares?
I can't believe Spygate is being relitigated in 2026. We are almost a full decades from it lol

WRONG. They said it was fine to film from the field. The Jets cameraman was ON THE SIDELINE.

And what second time are you even talking about? Again, you don't know the basics. There is no second time.

Do you want the link to the Jets getting caught filming?

Are you even aware of the incident?

It predated Spygate and it came AFTER the release of the memo.

There was no confirmed taping of the Rams. There was no first time after which there was no punishment before the Jets game. How about you refamiliarize yourself with the fact pattern of Spygate?
Some whistleblowers within the Patriots organization alleged that the videotaping practices went back as early as the 2000 season. For instance, the Boston Herald published a story that the Patriots had also videotaped the St. Louis Rams' walkthrough practice prior to Super Bowl XXXVI in February 2002, an allegation denied by Belichick and later retracted by the paper.

Brady played for two decades . Maybe he was on to something? Let the guy bring a personal damned shaman if he wanted. He’d earned it.

I really don’t give a ****. This boils down to : I don’t like Bill. I believe he’s prick. I believe he pushed boundaries. I believe others also believe that and that’s why he did make FBHOF.

You don’t. You love Bill. I’m not bothered by that. You do you.

You are bothered that I don’t worship Bill.

I never will.

This is wasting thread space and no one cares.

He did let him bring a shaman.

There was no problem with that.

The problem was when he was telling players to ignore the coaches.

Do you even realize that even people who did not like Belichick (Amendola for contract reasons, because Belichick did not give him a lucrative contract) said that Guerrero in the locker room undermined the coaches?

No one had any problem with Guerrero being there including Belichick, and that's why Guerrero was in the room for years, until the time came when Guerrero told players to ignore the coaching staff. You had players refusing to lift on scheduled days.

You've got nothing.

You threw a whole bunch of smears and proved that your hatred is based on total ignorance and then you said I don't care.

Belichick is 100% more principled, ethical, and has more values than you, just based on your performance here tonight.

It was Rams signals he taped. He admitted that. From a place he shouldn’t have.

What the **** am I reading?

I missed the first 22 pages of comments and bickering.

My point of view is that if you were to show a child the history of what made the NFL great, walking through the HOF, you want the people there that tell the story. If you ignore BB, you ignore a third to half of the league's history. It's obviously ridiculous.

This shows me that they should include the fact that he was not a 1st ballot HOFer in his description. That would tell the bigger story of who he was... the bitterness from all the pathetic people around the league who hated his greatness. It would show that the biggest storyline in the history of the NFL is that....

Bill Belichick > the NFL

Players and coaches are shocked by this. They need to make this right and go back! This is grade 1 ********!

This hurts the HOF more than it hurts Bill.

These voters are out of control it's the hall of fame, not the hall of great guys i'd most like to hang with.

They made Terrell Owens wait 3 years cause he was a me guy who made brash comments and demanded the football even though he had 16,000 yards and 153 TDs and was top 3 all time in both categories, what does if you were a dbag or not have to do with how good your career was?
Rodney Harrison, the first player with 30 sacks and 30 INTs, 2-time Super Bowl Champion, still waiting.

The other guy with 30 sacks and 2 INTs and a 2-time Super Bowl Champion - killed two guys. He's fine.

What the **** am I reading?
After I read that I was like “this guy has no clue.” Almost like he was a child when this happened and is basing his opinion off of internet hear say and trash he read somewhere. This is how the slander grew, I guess to become truth in some people’s minds. Taping from the wrong spot was the Jet’s game. Not the ****ing Superbowl walkthrough; that was recanted by Tomase himself. It just didn’t banter enough publicity because it didn’t fit the juicy Chicago black sox narrative at the time.

Other than that, I think he’s been a good poster from what I read over the years. Didn’t realize he had such a disdain for BB though.

This one’s for you Georgia. Don’t have the time to dig through thread to see if this was posted or not.

Sadly it really didn’t make the news for the haters so they believe otherwise.

I don't want to sound melodramatic, but i just woke up to this news, and my eyes got teary due to anger. This isn't an isolated case, it's 20+ years of the league trying to punish, belittle, and ruin the reputation of this organization, and it's most important contributors. This is the same league who went above and beyond to ruin Brady's reputation, lied, leaked fabricated information to brainwash the masses. The same mass media that INVENTED an incident that the Pats were tapping practices that people still believe in 20 years later.

Belichick had his flaws, we all have criticized him, i will always have some bitterness over Butler's benching, and Tom's departure. But this man had not one but two incredibly difficult jobs for 2 decades, both of which are incredibly demanding by themselves, a GM and a Coach, and not only did he excel in them, he created great, Super Bowl caliber teams, year after year, and coached them into contending as well. He should get in twice over, for his roster management and his coaching. This man had the foresight to bench a $100 million QB for a 199-pick and change NFL history. This man drafted a short, unimpressive QB named Julian Edelman, because he saw a fighter in him, when no one would have given him a chance. Edelman is arguably the second most important player for the second three peat along with Hightower, Gronk and McCourty, all who Bill drafted. We can name 1000 such cases of his astuteness and football genius.

This is shameful. Insulting. Revolting. I hate everything and everyone associated with the league with the same passion i love this team. **** the NFL. **** the Media. The world knows how great Belichick was, and no amount of jealousy and envy will erase that.

Let's win this game in two weeks and spite all these perennial losers. WE ALL WE GOT. WE ALL WE NEED.

Here’s the only true thing you’ve posted the ENTIRE THREAD (at least when read with my FIFY edit “[,…]”

So after all his canvassing Kraft is probably going to finally get in this year. And probably at the expense of Bill (given they were competing in tbe same category). Interesting look......

I suppose a glass half full way of looking at it is you are going to get a celebration of the Patriots dynasty for the next three years, given Brady is eligible in 2028.

2026 Kraft. After 14 years.
2027 Bill. 2nd ballot
2028 Brady. 1st ballot.

I probably prefer them to go in separately. Its a complete travesty and completely underminds the HOF for Bill not to be a 1st ballet though.
