Didn't Kordell whine after the 01 AFCCG that sometimes the better team doesn't win or something like that?

Maybe Bonitto wanted to mark its 25th anniversary...

He did.
Tomlinson said something similar.

In my experience, players who say this never win.
The better team on that day always wins. That's why they keep score.

It's like clockwork.

Every time the NEP won a playoff game, the other team *****ed/complained and argued they were the better team.

We have more talent. They got lucky. They cheated. The refs gave them the call. Our best player was out. Their schedule was easy. They play in a weak division. Bla bla bla. Being the better team and winning a game are not the same thing.

The reality is teams and fans have zero ability to accept losing to the NEP. With the exception of 2020-24 it's been happening for 25 years.

Some organization know what it takes to win. Some don't. A team can only get better once it understands why it loses.

The Bills have had some really good teams these last few years. They still can make it to the SB but they have yet to figure out what it takes to do it and how.

You keep saying they had “the easiest path” but that path included the Buffalo Bills.

I’m talking about the playoffs (though the ref season was a cakewalk for NE too).

No one has ever had an easier path through the playoffs than the Patriots. They essentially played middling teams all 3 games, and 2 of those games included teams with HORRENDOUS quarterbacks. They didn’t play a tough team like the Jags. Or the Broncos with a starting QB. Or the Bills.

They were basically handed the Super Bowl appearance despite playing poorly.

As for the regular season, Bills beat them in the last matchup… the first matchup was really their only claim to fame and it was tight.

You're a ****y. You're a physically and mentally weak individual. You also clearly have no life. Go talk about your own team with other fans of your team. Honestly, if other Bills fans observed your loser vibe here they would denounce you for making your entire fan base look like weaklings.

Exactly, but when they lose it’s ok. Not too many are going to mention the Pats might have 3 peated if they had their two most clutch performers Edelman and Hightower in that Philly superbowl they lost. All people
talk about is the Butler benching.

Bottom line, you play who you play with the players available. But it only counts when it’s not the Patriots.

It happened a lot back then. Also Zach Piller of the Titans in 2003.

The JAGS.

What an apt name.

Lawrence is as big a choker as Josh Allen.

I know you’re just trolling, but no one can say Allen is a choker with a straight face. He constantly leaves the field with a lead and the defense blows it. There is a reason McDermott is gone.

The better team loses a good 30% of the time.

The Giants were not the better team in 07, for example.

You keep saying they “played like crap” but that play includes beating the Bills once, and finishing with a better scoring offense and better EPA per play than the Buffalo Bills. Not to mention a better defense in almost every category.

So you’re entitled to think the Patriots are bad, but then what does that make the Bills?
It’s a Bills fan. Without copium, what do they have?

He choked this year in Denver.

Lawrence sucks.

Second game was tight too homie.

Loser mentality.

Giants were better that game. They dominated the trenches. No one on the Patriots looks back at that and thinks they were somehow unlucky, even given the helmet catch. They know what happened to them. The players have said that they were mentally not there. Belichick has said not only did Coughlin outcoach him but that he made very bad situational decisions as well as losing the Xs and Os game.

So what does being a better team have to do with anything when you were outplayed?

If you don't show up to play, your opponent will beat you by playing better. AND they will deserve the win.

No team in the history of the NFL was ever “handed” a SB appearance. You disrespect every player on the Broncos, Texans and Chargers, three very good football teams.

Ok but if I played and I felt that way I would keep it to myself not say it in public. Just sounds like whining.

Josh Allen could have had the easier path, but he choked away the 2 seed. And if he did get that Patriots path, when he lost you would be lamenting how no team in the history of the NFL had to face such a murderers row of defenses. It's not the Bills fault, they were set up to lose by the NFL.

Four turnovers and it’s not at all on Allen. It’s NEVER Josh Allen.
