Gronk trade completed

No I’m not. You make good points, but there some who continue to trash Belichick. These are all the Brady fan boys who should be Buccaneers fans by now..

You should really change your username and avatar. It makes you look even more clownish than usual, Brady fan boy.
Yeah I am quite confused too that @TommyBrady12 username contradicts himself.

Absolutely not. Both Bill and Brady were needed each other to win 6 Super Bowls. Brady himself said Bill brought the best out of him.
That's what I will never understand about this totally overtalked argument about BB vs Brady. Neither would have been as great as they became, without each other. They've both said as much. They most likely would have achieved good to great careers, but GOAT status and 6 rings I think not. It was a cosmic bang that lasted for 20 years and burned bright, brighter than any other dynasty in NFL, and maybe sports history.

This constant need to give one more credit than the other is so overblown. Whatever "side" you're on, ripping a guy (either one of them) that was central to 6 SB titles, seems totally unnecessary to me.

BB & Brady
Question answered
Look up synergy

In any sport, the most difficult thing to do is repeat. I don't care who you have as your star player. The Patriots had a dynasty since 2001. That was not because of Brady.
What in the fug did I just read?

Highly unlikely they win SB53 if they had traded him to Detroit...plus, he used his leverage to nix the trade.
That's my point.

Gronk screwd NE out of a 1st after he agreed to a new contract. He then shot his way out of town coming out of retirement with NE having so much cap room tied up in Thuney. NE had no choice either trade or cut. Tampa could have waited and had Gronk for zero picks.

I had to click the unignore button to figure out what you were talking about. Apparently, this was in response to something Ice Ice Brady said. It appears I had the guy on ignore (wondering why I hadn't heard from him in over 3 weeks lol).

In response to your comment, my username does not mean I like Brady over the Patriots. And I'm certainly not going to follow Brady to the Bucs, like one poster who already changed his avatar to a Bucs logo.

If you put someone on ignore, and you don’t announce it, did you even put someone on ignore?

hot basura

OT - I can't get over how downright romantic "Basura Solamente" sounds, more like a love ballad title than text on a trash bin :D

His comment didn't make any sense, so I figured he was responding to someone I had on ignore...

I guess those who figure that Belichick rode Brady's coattails to success and a reputation as the GOAT coach are anticipating that post-Brady, Belichick will revert to his pre-Patriots form and be nothing more than a sub .500 coach. From the tone of some of the posts, it almost sounds as if a few are wishing for it.
6-10 or 7-9 this season(if we have one). This BB constructed team which is "up against the cap" absolutely stinks. Have you really looked at this roster? I don't wish it but "it is what it is". BB, without TB, is going to be a disaster.

Wishing for it? No.

But I think its fair to say that BB has more to risk from this divorce than TB12 does.

If TB12 goes to TB and turns into a complete bag of poo....people will be like "Yup, that's what happens when a person runs into age. Happened with Montana, Peyton, Johnny U etc. Cliff Kellerman was only off by 5 years"

No one really knocks those others because of "sub their par" years at the end of the rope.

However, I think there is a good chance there is a loud chorus, if things don't go well over the next 2-5 years in NE, that a great many people will go "well, he (BB) was nada much in CLE, had a 20 year run, where ~16 of those years he was married to the best player ever, and then turned back into a pumpkin when the GOAT moved on to a different pasture"

Can you share this information with the 28-year-old-man-making-6-figures, Dorito Dink? He may want to use it with me, #1 arguer in PatsFans.com history.

Sure. I don't quibble with anything you said here. But there is a vast difference between "hmm, lets see how BB does post divorce because his track record before the marriage was less than stellar" and "BB is a garbage coach".

The former has at least potential for a real conversation. The latter belongs in the Barstool comments section.

I think they are both putting their reputations on the line TBH. Brady, however, has the age excuse. If he doesn't lead TB deep into the playoffs, people will call him a system QB with all that talent around him. And if Bill doesn't become successful in the post-Brady era, then people will say Brady made him who is (and at that point I would agree).

Fair. But is there anything wrong with a moniker like "system QB"?

Yes I realize people use that in an argument to tear down someone. But TB12 was perfectly built for the system he played in here; in whatever flavor it manifested. It's all supposed to be the "Erhardt-Perkins" system; his tenure started with a run first, short passing game/screens, then came the Spread overlaid, and then the 2 TE concepts. All the option concepts rather than defined routes blah blah blah.

Peyton was the system as well in his context. I mean wasn't there the whole "he brought his offense to Denver, how is Gary going to react?"

If at this point in the discussion (in general, not ours here) people go "Ha, TB12...hes just a system QB" then they have rendered the point meaningless. Yes TB12 is a system QB...just like Jordan was a system 2/3

I think the latter is what will end up happening. Hard to see Tampa not being a contender in the NFC this year, especially if they go tackle with their top overall pick.

I don't know... Andy Johnson (bless him wherever he is) was pretty much a first ballot HOFer when it comes to that. Lol

What in the fug did I just read?
Sorry. It was not all Brady. Does it really matter? The majority of members have forgotten their praise of BB. I stand by it is difficult to repeat no matter the star power.

Honestly, people trashing Belichick need to leave the fanbase. It's one thing to say Brady was more important than Bill, it's another to repeat the same old Cleveland Browns nonsense about Bill year after year. Brady is on record as saying Belichick is the GOAT coach - that should be enough for us. You would think after 6 super bowls that people would give him a chance to build another dynasty...

and the people calling Brady a system QB all of a sudden shouldn’t? Maybe the BB bashing would be acceptable if he had left than huh. The only reason Ben is being attatcked is we got fools claiming he made Brady and was some genius before Brady got here which isn’t true
