I can’t believe this is “mainstream” media.

I can. They're poisonous scum. Unfortunately even though their credibility is at a historical low, they still sway a lot of people with their nonsense.

The mob also attacked Omar Kelly, a Dolphins best reporter, yesterday when he posted on Twitter a lot of critical questions about the lawsuit.

It's a dangerous, intolerant cult. It is the opposite of what it claims to be. Very insidious people.

going back to someone who raped you is a whole lot different than going back to an abuser..usually because the woman is dependant on him. Why would any woman go anywhere near a man that violently raped her?

The two are separate. One is an abusive long term relationship where one feels they have no recourse but to remain due to various emotional issues, acute fear and threat of what could happen if they try to change it. That has nothing to do with one who is a separate entity from another, is sexually assaulted by the other, then seeks out the company of the other/the assault perpetrator.
Only one completely blinded by ideology (and a seemingly lack of understanding of the nature of an abusive, cohabitation, long term relationship) would make that comparison.

I'm not sure of many highly populated areas of Florida where one can idle their car at a stop sign for several hours without being a severe hindrance to traffic.

I think the write-up I read said it was a stoplight. If so, wonder if there are cameras around there and if there is still footage.

Personally I think the board is slippin. 3000 posts in 2 days on this story? Come on, if there was ever an explosively emotional item (bad guy universally hated, troublemaker who would never join a team like the Patriots, joins THE team, then same day is accused of sexual assault, salacious ejaculation details) that should have 10,000 posts in 2 days? this! is the one. For god's sake Tom Brady's deflated balls had 10,487 in 8 hours and 7 minutes! :)
You're right. There are still facets of this whole ordeal that we haven't explored. We need a board Sherlock Holmes to ratiocinate about the whole thing in a myriad of new ways.

He did. His technique got a lot worse. Started to try to catch the ball with his body for some reason.
That's interesting because I remember Thompkins doing something similar around that same time. He would essentially double catch it (have the ball hit him in the chest to stop it, and then try to catch it; rarely use his hands).

Highlight: Kenbrell Thompkins 49-yard catch

Now granted, it was one of my favorite plays from that season, aside from his game-winning touchdown against the Saints, which he caught with his hands (but really had no choice,)

Because any conclusion one might draw for them asks for speculation.

Do we have a date for these? If there was a date, you might have more media sources biting on them. But without a date, we can't know if they came before the 1st, 2nd or 3rd incident.

No the vids show that she is lying about the relationship. It was not a strictly business relationship. The timing is irrelevant to her claim about their relationship.

I like when you post. Half the time I don't understand your demented grandpa ramblings but I sure as hell love the energy behind them!

Oh God, why'd you have to write that???? That’s such an easy punchline hanging out there right now..........

You don't cuddle with your coworkers?

If the project must come in time and within budget? Her and I will have to forego social convention, and happily together put the best interests of the project first. We just aren't earning our paychecks otherwise :)

It’s so well documented that victims of abuse very often go back to their abuser for a whole host of reasons that it’s frankly disgusting that this entire thread is willing to just take her continued interactions with Brown as conclusive proof that the abuse must not have happened.

What's disgusting is your attempt to demonize the people in the thread for questioning the credibility of a woman who, among other questionable moves, chose to return not once, but twice, to a man that she claims she had nothing more than a business relationship with, after he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

This isn't a battered wife or child. It's not a mother getting repeatedly beaten, or a husband with a brutal wife. This is a woman who is claiming to be, basically, completely independent from the alleged assailant outside of business. Is it going to be your next claim that most random business people fly hundreds, if not thousands, of miles, in order to return to be victimized for more sexual assault and rape as part of their job?

You are welcome to believe the woman. You are welcome to believe that her version of events is 100% accurate. And, whether her version is 100% accurate or not, it may well turn out to be close enough to the 100% truth for a civil court to rule in her favor. But, just based upon the pleadings, this is not a case where skepticism is somehow "frankly disgusting".

Why Pats weren't made aware of Brown lawsuit

Fowler writes:

"Representatives for New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown and Britney Taylor were in discussions over the past few months, but agreed their communication would remain confidential until the filing of Taylor's civil sexual assault lawsuit, sources told ESPN on Thursday.

"This, the sources say, is why the Patriots and the Oakland Raiders, who released Brown last weekend, would not have known about the matter unless there was a breach in the confidentiality of those discussions."

BB must be mad as hell at Drew

BB must be mad as hell at Drew
Perhaps but still glad he has Brown ...

after all ... obtaining the best players is what he does.

I doubt it. Rosenhaus’s hands were apparently tied, and he would have been breaching trust with his client if he said anything to NE. I think BB would respect DR doing his job.

Where did she say it was a strictly business relationship? I read where she said they had a brother/sister relationship. So, not strictly business.

& can we just ignore his texts to her admitting incident #2?

Or the crazy letter he supposedly signed that he would no longer make any sexual advances?

Read the court filing.

If they were in discussions why did she file a lawsuit?

I need to chime in here just to say something

I don't know if AB did this.
The timing is off, it seems more complicated than her lawyer is portraying, that's for sure.
False accusations happen. I'm a journalist, so I always feel like it's good to hold off until you get facts before coming to a judgment on something like this. Due process exists for a reason, and people in my profession have gotten very burned in the recent past for making assumptions without a critical mind and patience.

BUT

I know a woman who was raped a few years ago, but not just one but two men. She was 20, they were in their mid-20s. She was blackout drunk, she'd been drinking around a campfire with a bunch of people and had too many. The two of them visited her in her tent later that night and took turns with her.

The first - first thing she did when she woke up, was go to the police. She had a rape kit done, said she wanted to press charges. This is within hours of her realizing what had happened the night before.

And she was told, that because she'd been drinking with them earlier that she'd never win the case and it wasn't worth the time to go through the criminal avenue. They advised her to move on.

There are tons of reasons why women don't go to police right after an assault, not the least of which is because they are often completely f*cking useless.

Let's try to move on from the insinuation that there being no criminal complaint against AB made by this woman is a sign that she's lying or extorting him. She may well be, but the fact that she didn't go to the police is NOT evidence of that being the case.
God almighty, if that story is true those cops should be crucified. Women who are sexually assaulted should ALWAYS and IMMEDIATELY go to the police regardless of the "circumstances." It is never, EVER in a policeman's purview to dispense advice like that -- it simply is not their job. So she dropped it because of this bogus "advice"? That woman (A) still should have filed a complaint regardless and (B) should be seeing the district attorney with her lawyer about the cops' conduct.

You’d have to assume that those discussions weren’t falling the way that she had hoped.
