Opinion: NFL must do the right thing and bench Antonio Brown

I guess she’s already forgotten how stubbornly, stupidly, embarrassingly wrong she was about Robert Kraft’s “sex trafficking” violation. She argued that one - specifically why we shouldn’t think but should instead immediately act mindlessly - for weeks. Now after ignoring all of the rational people, she’s already into her next crusade of punishing me for accusations made against them.

I can’t believe this is “mainstream” media. The mob also attacked Omar Kelly, a Dolphins best reporter, yesterday when he posted on Twitter a lot of critical questions about the lawsuit.

I guess one thing that is most confusing to me is why this particular website, oaklandnewsnow.com, is the only news-type site (at least it looks like one) that has posted the Instagram Videos apart from that ILIKEYOURBEATS guy who originally posted it. Although they definitely don't prove a rape didn't happen, they do seem to indicate that the relationship between Ms. Taylor and A. Brown was not completely professional. It seems like all sorts of news outlets would be jumping on this type of salacious stuff.

Does anyone have an idea for why these videos haven't been referred to on other media outlets? Is it because they are unverified? Or, is there some type of consent law at work?

I admit that I'm not one of those that thinks there is a vast conspiracy among the news outlets to suppress information, as long as that information is likely to draw eyeballs and clicks (i.e., $$$).

The ignore it since it does not fit the predefined narrative.

This should all hinge on the unnamed "football player" as a witness to the circumstances the night she was supposedly raped. What was she doing anyway out having dinner with them all and going back to Brown's house and goes inside with him because she says she had to use the bathroom? If he assaulted her two times before she wouldn't go near him.

This detail alone, the fact she associated with him on a personal basis on multiple occasions after the first assault supposedly took place, should be enough to make any rational person question her credibility.

And regardless of how incorrigible and obnoxious and immature AB has been in the last two months, his behavior apart from this issue does not justify railroading him, or in any way denying him due process both in the court system and in the NFL, for this issue.

I said when Goodell refused to take action against Tyreke Hill that if he then refused to reinstate Josh Gordon it would reveal clearly that he was corrupt. If Goodell puts AB on the exempt list after he loses in court, no harm no foul; if he does so now, it's indefensible, and corrupt, and AB and the NFLPA should sue him and the league. You don't turn a blind eye to someone who broke a child's arm, for which there was exponentially more evidence than there is for Brown having committed sexual assault, and then ruin a player's career - and diminish our chance at #7 this year - before anything has been decided in court, when the evidence against the accused has to rank very high among the flimsiest, most suspect cases in all the history of all rape allegations.

So to recap:

- This woman wanted a million dollars from AB to build a gym.
- There’s videos of her and AB cuddling.
- She filed a legal court document that says she had a strictly professional relationship with Brown, when those videos tell an entirely different story.
- The address listed on her website to the gym she supposedly owns, or wants to own, leads to an empty field in the middle of nowhere.
- She filed a civil suit, not criminal, for a rape case, which always screams “money grab”, during the most opportune time imaginable.

Sorry, but there’s no way in freakin hell this woman is being truthful.

I hit agree for the manning comment. I don't think people realize how crucially important it is for the famous to be connected to 'well liked in media' when you're caught up in bad behavior/scandal/illegality. If you're well liked, such as Manning, the media stories and spin will be hard pressed to reach terminal velocity. OTOH if you're disliked? You get a .09 BAC and they'll attempt to spin you into a Stalin-Hitler hybrid. It's then up to the emotional whim of the public as to how far that spin goes. Just is what it is with media. And for those that think this is a a more recent phenomenon with, for example, our current President? Nope. The media has been this way for a long, long time (I encourage everyone to read media from the time of Lincoln, to the Great Depression era to now. Wow!). It's who they single out to be the villain that changes from decade to decade.

Come on, if there was ever an explosively emotional item (bad guy universally hated, troublemaker who would never join a team like the Patriots, joins THE team, then same day is accused of sexual assault, salacious ejaculation details) that should have 10,000 posts in 2 days? this! is the one.
