NFL Draft: Day 2

BTW, Reiss is confirming that one of the Pats' trades included their sixth-rounder. So they now have a fifth but not a sixth.

Just saw this review of Damien Harris:

This is one of the top picks of the third round. The Patriots needed to find a running back to play alongside Sony Michel and James White, as giving the ball to the plodding Rex Burkhead is always a wasted down. Harris is not only a talented runner, but also a stellar pass protector. He was also a team captain at Alabama, so I can't say I'm surprised that New England made this selection.

I like AS Jenkins as a short term replacement at TE. He might be able to contribute a lot more with Brady as his QB

Hmmm. Michel seemed a solid if unexplosive runner. To go bigger would mean a short yardage guy who is solid if not explosive. Seems like the same player to me.
Neither seem to have much passing game potential meaning White and Burkhead will still need to be on top of their game.

The Colts just put up a banner in their stadium: "Colts 2008-2018. Fewest Punts Against the Titans in the AFCSouth"

Irsay must have wrote that Colts intro to their draft selection.
Yes, that night when he fell asleep behind the wheel at a stoplight at 2AM with a pharmacy of drugs on the passenger seat

2 O
2 D
No big uglies

Okereke is a very nice pick for the Colts.

And Connor Mcgovern was on my Patriots board. Another miss for me.

Wtf Rodney? Announcing a charger pick????

Michel had a rough go in the passing game. That being said, he was considered the best pass-catching RB out of that draft. It was a huge reason he was drafted.

Who does Harris replace?

Sony, Burk, White, Harris, Emergency Fill in Bolden. Seems numerically roster correct, no?
I think the question is, is Harris going to be a regular gameday inactive. If not then he's a winner. If he is then it's a lot to pay for him (though Burk is injury prone and, I think, on a 1 year contract).

Cutting Burkhead would save us $3 million

They are morphing into a run first team. RBs take a pounding, Sony’s knee is meh and the league us getting small on D.

All part of Bill zigging when others zag. They must feel very good about Wynn, and right tackles are easier to find.
You know what helps the running game?
Tight ends!

Thanks, though Sony was more like 200
why disagree, I meant to say I "thought" Sony was more like 200. I was admitting I was mistaken, why are you disagreeing??

Fear not. It's a great pick.
