Cousin, I agree with you. In retrospect a first rounder is penance for the Broncos obscene contract they gave Russell. That actually might have been the reason for his decline. He still had decent numbers but for his contract, he was supposed to be Tom Brady and Mahomes rolled into one.

There is an alternative. It has been stated that the Broncos would dangle Patrick Surtain Jr.if they could move up to the top of the Draft. Would it be more fathomable to do Russell, Surtain #12 and their first in 2025?

I think I would prefer Juedy and Boles to fill significant roster holes.
