Unless you're headed to Minny with a larger group of fellow Patriottes, I wouldn't recommed going. Philly fans are ruthless.

They are for all their sports teams. The cops greased the lamp posts from the NFL game last weekend in the city with lard to try to stop the fans from climbing up the poles. Didn't work.

2 weeks before my tickets i bought were 2700..I ended up getting mine for 1,400..so 300 above face
I am so tempted to ride it out and go to the game without tickets, and buy them right before the game. However, visions of all the folks who got shut out or had to pay astronimical prices in 2014 (Seahawks) keep dancing in my head. We went to Indy in 2011 and paid (reluctantly) $3,000 per ticket in the two weeks before. On game day tix were down to $1,500 for seats that were better than ours and it left a really bad taste (then we lost the damn game - $6,000 for that?). Arrggghhh.

That’s fine. I’ll remember not to ruin your fun anymore. Always thought you were easy going. My fault.
I am I jus mean I don’t find superstitions fun.

Eagles selling tickets to their season ticket holders that won them in a lottery at $1250 each. I have a friend that won the rights to 2 and is buying 2 more from a friend that won 2 that can't go.
Why can't WE get owners like that? Although if you have club seats you can buy them.

The 'problem' philly fans won't be able to afford going to the SB. You can wear and root for the Pats in a SB with no problem. There will also be a ton of Patriot fans everywhere. You'll get the odd comment from idiots but you should be fine.

If you have flight and hotel booked you're in good shape. I would wait until the last minute for tickets to get the cheapest deal (last minute is a couple of hours before game time). Leave early to the game, tons of security.

Seattle travels...I am not sure about Philly...why that seahawks games was a mess...plus I think they sold a lot more than they had...causing more issues

If there's anything we can complain about with Kraft it's the high-roller exclusivity he brings to things, like reserving all the SB tix for club seat people and working expensive package deals with tour companies.

Agreed - I also wonder whether weather will be a factor in people's thoughts about whether to go. Supposedly it will be zero degrees at game time, and weather could be dicey both getting there and getting home, both from this area and from Philly. A lot of Pats fans had trouble getting to or home from AZ, whereas Seattle fans did not.

Minneapolis is only a 22-hour drive from eastern Mass., 18 hours from Philly. Easily done in two days. If tickets dropped in my lap I'd have no qualms about driving.

It's such a high-risk/high-reward experience, isn't it? Being at a Super Bowl is as INTENSE a fan experience as one can imagine. Winning it is a euphoric feeling that lasts, losing it is a painfully depressing feeling that also lasts.

Pay a few bucks extra to insure your seats are guaranteed (Stubhub and other reputable brokers). It's not worth the stress to travel SB weekend, with a cloud lurking overhead, having to do with worrying whether you tickets will get zinged at the stadium entrance gates. Afterwards, the extra cost (versus via Craigslist/EBay etc.) you paid will be not be a factor, when looking back at later date, on a Bucket List experience!

All i'm going to say is that if anybody is spending the money to go to the Super Bowl, try to find a way to go to the Patriots After Party, I attended the last 2 Patriots Super Bowls and I was fortune enough to attend both of the parties, and it's really fun to party with the players and their families after a win!

On Zolak n Bertrand’s show yesterday, the prez of. Tix agency said he would wait until next week as prices r dropping. I can c why. Has anyone looked at the temps there?? Getting a tix there might b easier than getting a place to stay that’s within normal limits

The current forecast for SB Sunday is snow and a balmy high of 15 and a low of -2!

Minneapolis, MN 10-Day Weather Forecast - The Weather Channel | Weather.com

I don't see any chance of a major snow storm before the game that would prohibited people from travelling to the game, but the forecast looks like the temp will not get above 15 for the whole SB week. I don't know how many corporate types are going to brave that! I would imagine if you tried to buy tickets on game day, if you can avoid getting frost bite, you should be able to grab some on the cheap (less than 2k) side.

Ok - I am forgetting my own advice and have made my reservations to go to Minneapolis. Still waiting to buy tix while the prices continue to drop. If you go about an hour outside where the SB is being played you usually can find regularly (and reasonably) priced accomodations. You'll just have to drive for about an hour to get to the game, but I usually do that anyway (don't forget to get a parking pass somewhere).

so...who is going to Minneapolis other then PatsDeb ?

probably me...:D

Before both giants games my son and I built a Super Bowl Shrine. The rule being whatever the number of the SB you put in that many patriot items. In 14 my son seriously got mad at the suggestion of a shrine because the shrine was 0-2.
I’m thinking it’s time to built a new one and I am the last person to buy into superstition but if I do and they lose my son will blame me forever.
Maybe I’ll change it up and build one with 51 items to celebrate last years win.

Noooooooo!
