The base of any deal involving Brown should be no more than a 2027 2nd rd pick; take it or leave it. If lower picks and/or role players are exchanged in addition so be it, but the Pats shouldn’t even think about dropping a first.

You bring up some good points. I have to believe the Pats are working behind the scenes now on Gonzo’s contract extension now that the draft is complete. And I’m sure they’re looking at LB options via FA and trades as well as other positions (WR - Brown for example)

1, 2 and 4 are legit. Not sure they make a trade for an ILB but you never know

I understand your concerns. We’ll how things play out between now and TC. I gotta believe they’ll bring in a couple of vets that get cut loose in the upcoming weeks.

Obviously the Pats feel more comfortable with Muma and Britt in a back up role that some do on this board. The kid we drafted out of TCU will also be in the mix. Having said that, I believe they’ll bring in some more ILB FAs as we get closer to camp. The second FA phase is about ready to start...

Completely agree There’ll be good camp competition for Douglas and Chism. Also, it’s more probable now that AJ will be a Patriot in June.

Yeah…it surprised me they didn’t go after a WR in the mid/late rounds. Seems like they’re loading up on WRs with UFDAs. Also, it’s highly probable now that AJ will be a Patriot on June 2nd. I just hope they don’t give up a first.

Days 1&2: A Day 3: I liked the OT in RD6; the rest…TBD Overall grade: B

So what are we looking for on Day 3? I say, in no particular order, G, WR, LB, DT A developmental QB also What do you guys think?

This is a personal matter that will have ZERO impact on the team moving forward. He already had a private team meeting to address this and it was squashed…a dead issue as far as the team is concerned. Pretty sure 99% of the team didn’t care at all and for those who did, no doubt Vrabel was...

I had some difficulty picking between the first two options but in the end I went with OT, DL,TE. At #31, there will most likely be multiple options rated at that spot. Ultimately, if there’s still a starting quality OT there you have to take him. I could also a WR being taken in the top 3 rounds.

Me too…but that usually included a couple of TEs and a couple of RBs. Barring injuries, WR5s and 6s aren’t getting a lot of run on offense except for a very specific play or two. If those guys play, it’s normally on STs.

We’ll see…when you start going past WR4, there really aren’t a lot of catches to be had.
