Nah…Wickersham has a well established personal agenda against the Pats organization.
The roots of his story probably hold some truth, but I have no doubt that he embellished the majority of the story to suit his agenda of painting Kraft in a bad light.
I will say that RK makes himself an easy...
We’ll get a slight reprieve starting next Thursday as the focus will switch to the draft. That’ll last for 1-2 weeks and then the RK/BB media saga will continue.
This season can’t come soon enough even though I know the Boston media already has their pitchforks sharpened and ready to stab if...
A few things about all of this:
1) Everything Wickersham says about the Pats has to be taken with a huge grain of salt…he loves grinding that axe.
2) It’s very apparent that BB’s schtick was tolerated for years because he won at a historic level. When the Pats were winning, it was the “Patriot...
I wouldn’t read too much into this report. Outside of Eli and Elway, draftees really can’t dictate where they go. Daniels can be”intent” on playing wherever he wants, but he doesn’t have control over who drafts him.
He has a good chance of landing in NE…that’ll be Washington’s and/or NE’s choice.
Ian…I was at that JAX game too with my son and some friends. It was hot as balls…the in stadium temp was well over 100.
The Pats secondary made Blake Bortles look like the 2nd coming of Joe Montana that day. I think he threw for close to 400 yards with 4/5 TDs. It was probably the best game of...
Sometimes I think Patsfans is just good for comedic relief rather than plain old football discussion.
The schizophrenic, “chicken little” mentality of some posters here is hilarious…
“OMG we didn’t sign Calvin Ridley for a 4/100M contract…WE’RE DOOMED!”
“OMG we resigned Duggar...
Top end offensive talent will be reluctant to come here until we start winning.
Let’s see if we have a successful draft and if we improve the W column next season. That will give us more possibilities in next year’s FA market.
I agree…the D is in excellent shape overall. We just need to add depth and figure out the S situation but I'm not too worried about the D.
As you said, we need to hit on who our next franchise QB will be. It will be interesting to see how the Pats attack this…do they add the pieces first...
Come on, you’re just barking without evidence. You have no idea what the Pats have done behind the scenes trying to acquire a WR. I doubt they’ve just been sitting on their hands.
WRs don’t want to come to NE right now without a proven QB. Tom Brady ain’t walking through that door next season...
Let’s be honest…none of us have a clue
Hopefully the Pats are doing their due diligence but the reality is drafting a QB is a crapshoot.
Personally, I’d steer clear of Williams…too many red flags in terms of personality, character and the people who surround him.
McCarthy has never...
Oh yes…the ESPN NFL March rankings lol
Not exactly earth shattering news…we did finish last season tied for the 2nd worst record in the league. Now we’re into the off season with new organizational management and a new HC who’s never been a HC before.
Agreed…he’s very good mid range to the LOS. Any deeper than that or if he has to turn his back, that’s when problems have happened in the past. The good thing is that those deep coverage skills can be improved so hopefully he’s worked on that during the off season. Duggar is an important part of...
Fingers crossed on Austin. He looked the part last season, albeit a small sample size.
You gotta admit that Bryant was much improved last season. He wasn’t a liability and actually made plays. He’s got a little physicality to him too. I don’t want him as our CB2, but he’s fine as a nickel or...
Yeah, the closer to the LOS, the better Duggar is. He’s not strictly an “in the box” SS, but you don’t really want him covering guys deep. That’s not his strength.
The JETES are in trouble if they’re planning on “Mr. IR” Smith to be their cornerstone on a one year contract. He’s as brittle as they come.
Maybe AR can make it to play #6 this season :p
We’re gonna have to develop our next LT. It should be one of our priorities in the first two rounds of...
This
For me, the fascinating/exciting aspect of all of this is that we’re heading into totally new territory with probable radical changes. It has been decades since the Pats organization and the fans have experienced such a difference.
As far as what type of HC Mayo will be...
Love KB and all, but what players say about other players means next to nothing in terms of who makes a roster and who doesn’t.
Let’s see who wins the QB battles in camp…
