Ah, namecalling - the weapon of the uneducated.

Yes. Clearly such people as William F. Buckley must have been uneducated because they used 'namecalling'. And, even worse, my grad school teachers would be shocked to hear me call you an ass.

Apparently you haven't read the actual rule then. Just because the old sheriff didn't do a good job enforcing the rule doesn't mean the new sheriff is out of line when he does.

Now keep on making excuses....

Given that I was among the first to post the rule on this site, perhaps you might want to stop digging. You've looked enough like an idiot already and there's no need to make it worse.

As I have completed grad school and know what kind of time obligation it is, you're probably not doing well if you're getting into message board battles.

(I'll brace for the inevitable "4.0" comeback)

You're the one who said that Belichick didn't break a rule, when clearly, he did. Just because he was getting away with it didn't make it any less of an infraction.

So I'm supposed to feel better about our coach breaking the rules because other coaches break rules? What morals you have.

I admit, I do expect Roger Goodell to treat all teams and coaches equally.

You on the other hand seem to revel in the fact that other coaches are getting away with their "cheating" (or "rule breaking" if you prefer) with, at worst, a slap on the wrist.

What morals you have.

I don't care what other teams do or how they are punished. If this thread is about getting justice for the Pats then concentrate on their affairs and leave finger-pointing of other teams out of it.

Given that you can't figure out the issue of interpretation involved in the reading of the rule in question, the notion of education is something you should never have brought up.

Please stop playing dumb and embarrassing yourself. This thread is about shining a fraction of the spotlight placed on the Patriots on other teams. Consider it a public service to the righteous and ignorant fans of other teams out there who think their teams' $h!t don't stink.

You understand that perfectly well even though. And it bothers you greatly that there seem to be endless examples of so many other teams engaging in what I assume you consider cheating - to the point where you come right out and admit a desire to ignore it.

As you say, you are not bothered by what other teams do or how they are punished. I think that says it all right there.

Even if other teams did what the Pats did 100 times over, what can possibly be done about it now? What evidence is out there to bust other teams? I'm talking PHYSICAL evidence (tape!), not just articles.

And right, I'm not bothered, because if I was, I'd try a pointless crusade of finger-pointing when the best thing to do would be to MOVE ON.

Apparently when a rule says "don't tape", then obviously I can tape, correct? That's what the die-hards want to believe, but they are embarrassing themselves. The point of the rule is to prevent the act of videotaping, because it is a root cause of in-game use. You can't just tape and say "oh, I wasn't going to use it in-game". Even if it was the case, it is still a violation.

HEY MODS. THIS IS WHAT YA CALL A HIJACKED THREAD...

thanks,

PFnV

My recommendation would be for someone leading this effort to start a website, or a group on yahoo, facebook, whatever and just have people contribute links. It would be much better than just putting them in a thread. That way you don't have the back-and-forth that you obviously don't care for. This is a message board - threads get hijacked, I've had my own threads get hijacked, but what can I do? People have a right to post just like journalists have the right to write whatever they want.

1) I've been trying to remind some people that he did do wrong.

2) Uh, yeah - I've been a fan of his for a long time and I thought he ran this organization the right way, and I was really disappointed with Spygate. So yeah, I had to forgive him or I wouldn't bother supporting him again.

I woul like to ask all those who have been contributing to this thread to ignore ALL RICHPATS COMMMENTS. He has decided to show us the quality of his character by continously attempting to engage those involved in this effort in debate. Although he was respectfully asked to refrain from this behavior.

It would be great if no one responded to his one man crusade. Let's remind ourselves that the effort of this thread is in line with the feeling of the vast majority of Pats fans. Why on earth would any Patriots fan attempt to thwart our efforts?

Or - we just return to trying to contribute articles, information, sourced materials, and truths as was meant to be in the spirit of this thread - see title.

Please post facts that can be possibly used to help dispel some of the injustice about the entire matter and provide an accurate list of compiled information.

....the best thing to do would be to MOVE ON.

Yes - you should absolutely move on.

Please stop posting in this thread. You've had your say.

Show some respect for the majority of Patsfans members who want to stay on topic in this thread and provide a fraction of the focus that has been placed on the Patriots, on other teams actions.

If you feel a need to persist please start YOUR OWN THREAD, at the risk that other members might hijack it, as you've attempted to do with this one.

Better yet, if seeing members of a Patsfans message board engage in this sort of discussion bothers you enough to spend so much time fighting them, I would encourage you to start a website of your own.

If you cannot control yourself in this manner I would respectfully ask a board moderator to do it for you.

Or maybe the moderators should take action to prevent posters from starting "exclusive" threads that aren't open for all members. Hmmmm.

I know it's not easy, but not responding to RP is the best course of action. I ask that you all make him invisible from this point forward.

Agreed, as I said earlier in this thread "Arguing with a fool proves there are two." Don't take the bait.

Funny! As I said earlier, debate is not encouraged but namecalling is. Thanks for proving my point, again.
