His performance against LSU was not impressive at all anyway, but many draft "experts" felt he'd be the #7 pick. Does anyone know if Maualuga changed his mind, that's the guy we'd really want.

Cleveland.com is reporting this.

OMG ! James "Mr another OSU Overrated LB" is staying in school. PIOLI is shattered.

Seriously, I guess BB/Pioli will get THEIR player at 7 or will just trade down to 10-15, pick a CB, get another 2nd rounder and keep our two 3rd rounders. How pathetic for a team that is 17-0 so far.

Stop worrying about the draft.....Enjoy the historical season/postseason

I see this guy play and get Katzenmoyer flashbacks. All of his film highlights were against Akron or Kent State. No thanks.

I agree. So much history still remains to be made, and I can't wait.

I don't think it means anything much, I don't think we would draft him anyway. The only affect it could have is that there is a possibility that another team that was looking to draft him may now look at someone we want.

at least the love for 'draft laurenitiis' stops... if we get laurenitiis, he will probably sit on the bench anyway behind our seasoned LBs and have limited reps... to me, thats not worth a top ten pick and paying him top ten money...

-Hawk (for a #5 pick he's been less than stellar)

I suppose the best LB from OSU has been Mike Vrabel, and he was a DE in College !

On the other hand,
Chris Spielman and Pepper Johnson were solid in NFL in 80's

Lauranaitis had a HORRIBLE bowl game. We weren't going to draft him. It's all about CHRIS LONG.

Let's maybe not buy into the myth that Katzenmoyer was bad. He did a very creditable job in the NFL until his career was cut short very early by concerns over a neck injury.

We'll probably take Vernon Gholston. 6'4" 258 lbs, 4.6 40-time. Bellicheck will draft him and work him in during the year as an OLB to replace Vrabel Or Colvin who will move inside. Gholston at his size and speed outside along with Thomas on the other side in the near future would be ridiculous!!!!!

I'll keep repeating this every so often on these "who should they draft" threads.

Left offensive tackle, if there's a stud still available when they pick.
