I couldn't agree more.

I remember having a discussion about cheerleaders here before. I don't remember ever watching them at a game, and I couldn't say if they were male or female.

I do remember a time at a basketball game about 30 years ago between my former HS and Somerville. One of the cheerleaders from Somerville was a guy and was taking some grief from the fans until they found out that he was the starting QB for their football team.

Americans are famously forgetful about why they were originally pissed off, especially when the swill they crave to drown out the noise of life hits a price point that is lower than other similar $hitty beer brands.

I run into the same push-back.

A true test to confirm if someone is a movie aficionado is if they have have watched TBL a minimum of 3 times. Once or twice is not enough to REALLY understand the characters and take in the comedic brilliance.

It's OK if they don't like it, but it must be appreciated as an absolute neo-noir masterpiece.

What’s more, Bud Light was incredibly vulnerable to that kind of boycott because its expensively cultivated all-American working class brand was its whole selling point. And it’s trivial to switch to another $hitty beer if you’re feeling huffy.

Consider that all the calls to boycott Disneyland had no effect whatsoever. The NFL is even more unique than Disneyland.

I would struggle to be a cheerleader. I could probably manage a pair of pom poms, but I am only very rarely cheerful, and I doubt the fans would want to see me in bootie shorts, particularly given my ass mostly disappeared somewhere in my early 70's.
