Another writer just looking for some glory so he can say, "I PREDICTED THEIR FIRST LOSS!!".

What do you get when you add the one-two punch of Fred Taylor (left) and Maurice Jones-Drew (right) and a coach in Jack Del Rio who is making all the right moves? A Jacksonville upset of New England.

What do you get when you have Tom Brady(MVP), Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker and the mastermind Bill Belichick waiting for you at Foxboro? A classic New England ass whooping.

And undoubtedly, Del Rio will have a great game plan because he is one of the best coaches in the NFL.

How can Jeremy Green be taken seriously after writing that.

Re: Jeremy Green : I said it before, I'll say it again -- Jags will beat Pats

funny enough he says he is not a jags fan or a patriot hater but also writes

"Despite the mild forecast (I was hoping for some snow and wind), I'm still picking the Jaguars."

Funny, Green doesn't mention how the Jags defense can be passed on and how it collapsed against the Steelers in the fourth quarter and if it wasn't for some bonehead calls by Mike Tomlin, the Steelers probably would be going to Foxboro on Saturday.

I think Green may be the moron who called into WEEI several times today who said that the Jags looked like they could play another game right after that game. When they gave up an 18 point lead in the fourth? How was it that they looked that great.

Sorry, even if the Jags can run on the Pats on Sunday, I don't know how they can stop Brady and company. Green talks about how the Jags took away the Steelers' running game and probably will with the Pats, but fails to mention even without a running game the Steelers were able to put up 340 yards and 29 points (should have been 31). So how exactly are they going to stop the Pats from putting up over 30 and how are they going to keep up by running the ball?

call me crazy but i think the pats will be able to run the ball a bit especially outside the tackles. Big D lines tire a bit when running sideline to sideline and i think the pats will try that some as well.

Loser...."the Jags don't get blown out". Ya, the Pats don't lose.

Re: Jeremy Green : I said it before, I'll say it again -- Jags will beat Pats

I'm getting tired of this "If you keep them off the field they can't score" stuff.

What matters is points/possession. As long as you have more points/possession than the other team, there's a very very good chance you'll win the game.

Re: Jeremy Green : I said it before, I'll say it again -- Jags will beat Pats

This dude is desperate and f.o.s.

To each his own, and to each, his own opinion. But when one's opinion starts out with, "First of all, it all starts with a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. ", well, as The Chairman said to Sinead, "Boo hoo, you had me and you lost me."

Jeremy Green = IDIOT. Nuff said.

Jeremy's dad, former NFL coach Denny Green, has been one of the best analysts for game radio broadcasts this season. If Denny read this, I can only think his comment would be, "Jeremy, you're not who I thought you were."

Sigh.

On some level, guys like this believe what they're saying, in that he probably thinks it might be closer than I do. But the biggest driver is what someone else said--he thinks I'll put it out there, if I'm right I'm a hero, if it's close I'll still get props, and if it's a blowout nobody will remember anyway. It's a joke.

If this guy was forced to wager his house on either the Pats or Jaguars this Staurday--on who was going to win--do you really think he wouldn't take the Pats? Jeez, just go away.

3 out of the 5 Jags losses were blowouts. They lost to the Colts in week 7 by 22 points. They lost to Saints in week 9 by 17 points. And granted they rested alot of players, but they lost to the Texans in week 17 by 14 points.

Wow, what an odd read. Green has been high on NE all year, and simply dismissed almost everything they do right (except for the passing attack, which he mentioned positively). This reeks of him being goaded into taking a strong position.

I mean, how often has NE lost the turnover battle and been beaten on special teams this year? And he casually throws it out there like it'll be easily accomplished by Jacksonville. And what has Del Rio ever done to deserve the accolades? Finally win a postseason game? Have his team not underachieve for once?

This is epidemic of everyone and not just Green, but they always ignore that limiting possessions only works if you force turnovers. If Jacksonville runs out the clock and each team only gets 6 possessions all game, NE is going to still score 20+ points in those 6 possessions. Jacksonville needs to either force turnovers (NE hasn't been turning the ball over a lot) or be efficient offensively (not a jacksonville strength).

Did any of these analysts even watch the Pittsburgh-Jacksonville game last week?

What did you expect him to write? In sports journalism you only stick out by going against convention. Who's gong to read yet another article about how great the Pats are and how they're going to roll over their next opponent?

That's fine, he can predict a win for the Jaguars. What seems a little off to me is some of the reasoning.

The Jaguars went 11-5 in the toughest division in the NFL -- the AFC South -- and would have gone 12-4 had they played their starters in Week 17. The Patriots played in the dismal AFC East. After going 16-0, I will call them the best regular-season team of all time, but six of those wins came against the Bills, Dolphins and Jets, who were a combined 12-36.

That's wonderful for them that they played in a tough division. They lost twice to the Colts, once to the Titans, and once to the Texans. So they have a losing record in their division, not sure what the point he's trying to make here is.

Is it that the Jags have faced tougher competition than the Patriots because the Pats play in a weaker division. Well for one thing it's not fair to lump in the Bills with the Dolphins and Jets, but putting that aside, the Pats have beaten the Colts (on the road), the Chargers, the Steelers, and the Cowboys (on the road). It's really not like the Pats have breezed through shoddy competition while the Jags have been facing superior opponents because they play (and lose) in a tougher division.

To beat the best, you have to play your best. For Jacksonville, that means running the ball, establishing a good short-to-intermediate, high-percentage passing game, winning the turnover battle and having the advantage in the special teams.

Well OK. The Jaguars will need a near perfect game to win. Brilliant!

I mean, it's a little weird that he feels the Jags aren't getting the proper respect when it seems to me they are being given quite a chance to win against the 16-0 Patriots coming off a bye and playing at home. Hell if anyone wants to point out the underdog getting the least "respect" that would be the Chargers, who it seems no one is picking to pull off the upset while plenty of people seem to think the Jags, the Giants, and the Seahawks have a shot.
