PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 21

Cool. Who was passing him the ball though. Unless it says Maye I assume it is not. And that's makes it much less important to virtually not important at this point. we know he can beat 2s.

Can he beat 1s while being on the same page as Maye is the question.
That's a pretty stupid take. Williams doing better and showing improvement while stuck behind 4 SEASONED vets in Brown, Doubs, Douglas and Boutte is a good issue for the Patriots to have. Contrary to your take, it's extremely important to see him improving. Especially going against guys who are likely to be on the Eagles' 53 man roster. Williams struggled against the 2s and 3s last year. Not sure why you say "we know he can beat them". Because, he wasn't doing it much in camp last year.

Didn't we use two backups last year? Seems like they like to prioritize having one OT for one side. And keeping the pipeline of emerging OT talent seems like a really smart move. I suspect they keep 4.
Yes, we used two backups last year. Lowe was not a good RT.

Many here hoped that Lomu would be first off the bench at both LT and RT. They (we) will be somewhat disappointed if Bryant is better the Lomu at either position, requiring an additional OT to be active.

Speak for yourself.

The Pats have regularly kept 4 OTs. Not including guys on the PS. I would expect the same going forward.

The situation with Crownover will be interesting. It;s almost assured that he's going to get picked up if the Pats waive him and attempt to stash him on the PS.

If Bryant is a decent backup LT, that's a great resource to have in today's NFL. It's worth more to us in the short term and the long term than using that spot on a 7th WR or third TE.

Agreed. That said, if he can't beat out Bryant or Lomu, he probably deserves to be on the PS, if we can get him there,

You raise a good point about having to activate both OTs as backups each game. Maybe if Lomu can be an emergency backup for a guard spot, that might help on game day?

Today is the practice to take away from imo. 2nd day in a row, they know you better and you know them better. The fact they performed as well as they did to me speaks volume.

Jacas is gonna be a stud you watch. He is gonna be a terror for opposing offenses.

The rematch vs Seattle needs to happen already.
I have a bad feeling about week 1 and just want to get it over with. Basically a humiliation ritual for the Pats to have them on the road for the banner reveal of the team that beat them in the SB.

Are the run game woes because of how good the Eagles line is? Or moreso bad play execution from Pats? Any insight into that?
