McD at the top of his game

I believe @captain stone came up with the nickname and it's never used as a compliment.
It seems tame for Cap, but I think you’re right on that.

Discussions of Josh’s playcalling have been less than complimentary so perhaps my unconscious was on Cap’s wavelength. There truly was no conscious intent however.

You really think you can read my mind, to tell me I was thinking something I wasn’t?

You are untethered to reality on that, bro.

Really. It was thoughtless. I just picked one of the many nicknames he’s had.

But to you it’s such a big deal you’ve hallucinated what I was thinking?

SMH.
Calling a man Skippy is an insult. It’s not his nickname is an insult that meatheads use to denigrate him.

I didn't get any malicious intent by your post. A rule of thumb is that Captain gives out nicknames for coaches or players he doesn't like.

Yeah… Captain hates all our players not named Drake Maye.

I think McDaniels is ok. They need to put 9 guys on protection on some plays when needed. The offense and Maye hasn't figured out protection yet. Watch the Video (Tom Brady explains why Randy Moss was one of one). Brady set the protection in his words. Fix that and we got this.

All I know is his lack of imagination and innovation in the Super Bowl is cause for concern.
All I know is he has led this team to 10 Superbowls and was the OC for 6 wins.
No OC compares to that.

This is blatantly incorrect. Weiss was the OC for the first 3 wins. McDaniels was officially named OC in 2006. McDaniels has gone to 6 Super Bowls winning 3.

Andy Reid has been to 6 Super Bowls and has won 3 as a play caller while also being the HC.

Andy Reid is a first ballot HOF Coach, MacDaniels isn't Reid but he's still a very successful OC.

Barth and Lazar discussed that JMcD was ranked 8th best OC by other coaches.

Where he stands out is his understanding of situational football.

So, Josh isn't that good because he is comparable to Andy Reid?

The point was to correct what was stated as fact in order to prop up McDaniels. There are a few other posts in this thread which also has incorrect information while trying to push their agenda. This one was ridiculous and needed to be called out.

I’m interested in the present.
Ok, so the present, he led a team starting 3 rookies on offense to the Super Bowl. A last legs Morgan Moses. A past-his-prime Hunter Henry. A last-gasp Stephon Diggs. A 7-team cast-off in Mack Hollins. A guy who's career has graded out around a B- in Rhamondre Stevenson. A Fullback who wasn't a fullback, and sucked when he tried to play fullback. A Quarterback in the first year of the offense, having to learn it after playing a middle school offense the year before.

14-3 record. AFC Champions.

Holy ****.

What. Are. We. Doing?

Captain Stone is a simpleton and a bigot.
Huck, I won’t argue with your supposition/conclusion IN GENERAL. But using „Skippy“ nickname as evidence thereof is ********.

Skippy is an diminutive (childlike) designation of GUYS who DRESS like East-coast prep school trust-fund babies. Possibly like the are trying to dress like the captain of a yacht, but ar3 too young to have earned on their own.

For the homophobic interpretation being taken, the person putting that on the nickname needs to look in the mirror.

I never even saw the " skippy" nickname, my comment stems from the captain calling for a moderator to step in when someone criticized Jackson Dart, and then, in literally his next post calling WNBA players " nappy headed hoes." He's an ignorant racist ****, who, like Sam, is incapable of saying anything good about anything, and only posts here to share the misery that is his life.

As far as the skippy nickname goes I don't know of any pejorative meaning for it, other than possibly dipshit,
