Brugler and Ian Cummings both like Vicari Swain. Need to study him more.

And Demello Jones is in major stealth mode. Brugler way behind Patsfans.

Here's an interesting CB prospect - a former Charles Demmings running mate. Will Mayo like Mayo?
He's just had a big jump up to 99 on the consensus big board.

Jalen Mayo, Houston (frmly Stephen F Austin)
6-2, 190

He transferred to Houston this summer after a year at Stephen F Austin. His grades at SF Austin are something else.

Defense - 90.3
Run defense - 90.8
Coverage - 88.4
Missed tackle % - 7.8

Love the size at 6'2", looove the grades and the tape is really good too. He's a physical corner. Watch out for the play at 1:44.

It will be interesting to see if he can make the step up to the Big 12.

I think I've found the most criminal grade on the consensus big board.

Evan Johnson, CB, BYU at 943!

Aside from a guy from Eastern Carolina, he's the 2nd highest graded man cover guy from last year behind only Leonard Moore and had 5 INTs. By the by, he has a 4.27 forty in his past reportedly.

Michigan S Rod Moore at 1006 was my choice. Jidi Abisiri in the 600s also pretty egregious.

Agree on Abasiri and on a healthy Moore. That'll be his test this year.

I was watching clips of him this morning. So twitchy - he's got clear NFL athleticism but I just wasn't sold. I think I like my corners more physical and bigger. He'd make a great nickel corner but with that athleticism, he's got a very good chance of going in the first so will be used on the outside.

I completely agree. I want a physical #2 CB opposite Gonzo. Swain will play in the NFL, but he's not the Droid I'm looking for.

Having said that, with that twitchiness, punt return ability and speed, I'm not going to lose sleep if we do draft him.

Agreed. But I am looking for someone who plays with "violence", and that is not Swain's game. I have a sneaking suspicion Vrabel might prefer a more violent and physical style player.

I am a huge fan of brown and sometimes you wonder if the hips are a little too tight for elite success in the nfl!
