Pete Prisco ranks Drake Maye 61st of the top 100 players of 2026

We all know Pete Prisco is a joke, but this is pretty pathetic. He has Drake at 61st and basically he is so low because of his playoff performance. But he has Joe Burrow at 5th, Mahomes at 7, and Lamar Jackson at 10. For 2026?!? None of those guys were remotely close to their elite selves in 2026.

He obviously discounts their injuries for their talent. But he has Jayden Daniels at 69 behind Trevor Lawrence (65) and right before Caleb Williams at 70. Daniels when healthy is far better than either of those guys at least at this point.

Christian Gonzales is the only other Patriot on the list at 29.

The other list which will release in mid July is when NFL execs vote on the best players at each position.

I have no problems with Mahomes @ 7 but Burrow who's always injured @ 5 and Lamar who's quickly joining him @ 10 is more than a stretch.

I agree that 61 is way too low, but Maye would be drafted in the top 5 in large part because of his position and age and not necessarily he is one of the five best players in the league.

I would put him in the top 20. He is in the discussion with the top QBs in the league based on his performance in 2026.
