I like it alot. There was rumours our (Liverpool) new stadium would be based on it due to the exterior look fitting in with what our council wanted and we're using the same architechts but it hasn't turned like that. I'd prefer it to be honest. Looks solid and intimidating.

Great edit. If you look very closely, there are wires for coach to QB communication, but I noticed their only on the Colts side of the field.

The roof can open. I still understand it isn't the same, but it is not terrible. Plus I am sure the actual stadium is very nice.

I visited relatives in Indiana back in October and we went to Indianapolis a few times and it seemed like everywhere you went in the city you could still see that thing looming over the city. It's actually only a couple blocks from the old dome. I was told that when it's completed they are going to tear down the dome, only problem is the dome won't be payed for, for another 25 years!! It seems that Lucas Oil Stadium cost something like 650 million and the team kicked in a whopping 100 million, what sports huh? It must be costing the citizens a ton of money.

The top is retractible and the front part has a glass kinda deal that I believe slides open as well. Its massive, it shadows the dome. Its in that retro look like where the Pacers play, Conseco Fieldhouse, which was based on Hinkle fieldhouse at Butler, which was the State final gym in the movie Hoosiers. This picture is actually from the RCA Dome to Lucas Oil Stadium. We signed one of the beams at the last game I went to.

What's the over/under on the # of regular-season home games played with the roof Open? I say 2 1/2.

Anyone know thew rules of the exchange?

I think it's the referee crew that makes the call. And they make it a few hours before game time. Supposedly, once the call is made, that's it. Obviously, if they have it closed, then regardless of weather, they wouldn't open it. However, if it is open, and some freak weather comes, wonder if they would close it?

My guess is it will be open 4-5 times a year. I hope thwy don't wuss out and close it, say, on a 50 degree day.

I'm sure that when gas costs 5 bucks a gallon people will proud to say, "We're headed for Lucas. We'll be fricking broke from the drive down there, but you gotta give the man his. Yep, we're bending over for Lucas and loving every minute of our SUV lifestyle" (which is about to end in approximately several months.)

Gillette ain't much better. In another lifetime I knew a guy who worked for them. He discovered a secret (illegal) testing facility of theirs where they tortured animals with their products. You know, slice them with the razors, shoot stuff into their eyes to measure the caustic effect, etc. , and then throw them all on a pile of other damaged and dying animals headed for their incinerator that also didn't exist.

Other than that, let's just say that Mike Vick was a boy scout in comparison.

It's actually quite smart.....they get to host a Super Bowl, I believe in 2010. Wouldn't happen if it were an outdoor stadium.
