Boutte available for trade?

Let's hope he doesn't get it...playing with A.J. at least for this year should help maximize his future worth. No! Kayshon we are Not! Trading you Piss me off!
Playing as the 4th or 5th WR is not going to maximize his future worth.

It won't help, he won't play much and his already pedestrian numbers will suffer even more. There are only so many catches to go around and he will probably be 4th or 5th option. I certainly don't mind if he stays, especially if they can't get much for him, but to think him not starting and hardly playing will be good for his future is probably incorrect.
not the 4th or 5th option. Henry, Stevenson and Henderson will likely have more targets.

perhaps, but the caveat always being injury. If Brown, Doubs or Hollins were to injure, I believe Boutte is someone who can step in and the offense would not miss a beat.

KW and Barefoot haven't shown that their better than Boutte the WR pound for pound. Also I think Boutte can eclipse Romeo Dobbs best season. We haven't seen the Best of Boutte. Doubs have never hit the 800yds mark so far in his career.

I agree that Boutte should be kept as the #4/#5/#6 WR in case of injury.

I strongly disagree that we would be as effective with him replacing one of the top 3.

Woz he had 93 - 55 and 75 up to the Atlanta game where he got hurt. I think he missed Three games after that.
So we missed out on 600 yards instead of the 500 we got…. again, that’s his breakout.

This is why I would keep Bouttee on the roster UNLESS someone makes an offer like a 2027 4th or 28 3rd. THAT would be a deal I'd take for him. Anything less and I'm keeping him because in the NFL, you are only as good as your best back up and Boutee can back up BOTH Brown and Doubs OR simply beat one of them out. I think he'd get enough snaps over the course of a long season to impress some people with his potential AND help this team.

This situation seems analagous to that of Gonzo.

The team would like
1) Boutte to be the #4/#5/#6 Wr in case of injuries.
2) Gonzo to play the 2026 season for a couple of million dollars.

The players want other options. For many, they are under contract so they should have exactly zero say, just play for the contracted amount.

For others, this is a business and the player should do what he can to maximize reaching his goals.

One question about Boutte - can he rush the QB?

Thank you, I’ll be here all week

Meh, if Williams takes a year 2 jump, he should leapfrog Boutte on the depth chart.

Let Boutte's agent do the work and come back with offers,
I asked AI what teams we considered deficient at WR. This is what I got back. Some bad info. Kendrick Bourne, Kelsey retiring. Don't know what else is incorrect.
Based on current assessments for the 2026 season, the following teams are considered to have significant deficiencies or critical needs at the Wide Receiver position: I would think the top three would be good spots for him.

Critical Needs

  • Tennessee Titans: Identified as having the biggest need, with quarterback Cam Ward lacking a trustworthy receiver; Calvin Ridley is likely departing and Chimere Dike is viewed as limited to screen specialists.
  • Los Angeles Chargers: Described as potentially having the worst WR room in the NFL, relying on Josh Palmer as a WR3 and a struggling Quentin Johnston.
  • Arizona Cardinals: The group led by Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch is considered insufficient to win games without adding an alpha receiver.
  • New England Patriots: Relying on a recovering Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas, with no other proven above-average contributors.
Significant Needs

  • Buffalo Bills: Require a true X-receiver to replace the downfield element and separation skills lost from previous roster changes.
  • New York Giants: Lack a needle-mover outside option who can consistently separate and win as a route runner.
  • New York Jets: The room is not league-average without a healthy Mike Williams, creating risk behind Garrett Wilson.
  • Indianapolis Colts: Need another X-receiver candidate to pair with Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs, as Alec Pierce has not consistently emerged.
  • Baltimore Ravens: Have a need beyond Zay Flowers and require a boost to avoid injury-related depth issues.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars: Despite high cap space, they remain in need of stable receiver talent.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: Facing a "cavernous hole" after trading Diontae Johnson, with the roster filled with WR4 types.
  • Denver Broncos: Rely heavily on Courtland Sutton, with the rest of the room lacking proven depth.
Moderate/Specific Needs

  • Cincinnati Bengals: Need to replace Tyler Boyd at slot receiver and plan for the future departure of Tee Higgins.
  • Carolina Panthers: Need a more impactful receiver to support Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker.
  • Las Vegas Raiders: Identified as needing a WR1 to support their offense.
  • Atlanta Falcons: Need a slot receiver for their base offense.
  • Kansas City Chiefs: If Travis Kelce retires, the team faces a significant gap that impacts offensive balance, indirectly affecting WR usage.
