Boutte available for trade?

According to Schefter, it looks like Boutte has been asking for a trade.

Let's hope he doesn't get it...playing with A.J. at least for this year should help maximize his future worth. No! Kayshon we are Not! Trading you Piss me off!

Play Williams instead.

More upside, faster….

It won't help, he won't play much and his already pedestrian numbers will suffer even more. There are only so many catches to go around and he will probably be 4th or 5th option. I certainly don't mind if he stays, especially if they can't get much for him, but to think him not starting and hardly playing will be good for his future is probably incorrect.

Woz... Boutte was going to have a Breakout 2025 before his injury...he was off to a fast start. A.J. - Doubs - Boutte - K Williams - Barefoot and may be Pop Douglas is they keep Six WRs. That's a Big Time combination of WR's Maye's a Kid in a candy store.

I think the thing here is Vrabel knows Boutte wants a contract and is rooting for him elsewhere in his trade request.. for Boutte he needs to instruct his agent to get him somewhere with a QB or elsewhere his career will end up....

I want us to keep Boutte until we see what Williams brings in year 2. KW was too one trick pony-ish as a Rookie 10 catches total too.

We saw Boutte breakout….

Woz he had 93 - 55 and 75 up to the Atlanta game where he got hurt. I think he missed Three games after that.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Agree, but this reads as pretty funny... one trick is okay when that one trick is catching TD passes LOL

Yeah there's something there but we need some more.

Rephrase ??
I'm mad too, but my understanding is the team's open to shipping him our for a decent trade offer.

We'd be putting an okay guy in, at best, a second-string role, maybe a shared slot role (with outside work being his preference.) We can make him do his job, or more likely, sulk in a Patriots uniform worrying about getting injured... or deal with the trade world. I think. You never know until the circus is over.

I'd like him and Diggs back... but I believe they can start somewhere in their respective roles.

(our depth is their stagnation, even if Kayshon is signed through this year.)

Vrabes was all super super serial about everybody earning their role, but I don't think that makes a Boutte think he really has a shot at starting, unless he shows sudden slot skills.

other than Wozzy, who has his agenda's against various players, no one has to sell how good Boutte was last season.
the issue is his contract.
if Boutte was signed for another 2 years, the discussion is moot.

Outside of Boutte did you know rookie KW had a 20.9 YPC last season?

All went for TDs...

I know Twin: but I thought he would be more accomplished running the short stuff. That was his bread and butter in College. I want to see that part of his Game in TC this year.

Two of those guys get completely left out without injury.

You really can't keep both Boutte and Douglas on the last year's of their contract.

It goes against team building.

I know twin.. but K. Williams opportunities were limited as well.. Boutte, Diggs and Hollins saw majority of snaps..plus he was still learning the offense..he was still impressive in the plays he made showed more promise than any rookie since deon..
