It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It’s funny because the majority of the people who claim the team is still rebuilding believes that Doubs and Boutte are more than capable of being number 1s here. The overrating of Boutte after one decent season needs to be studied.I watched Curran and Perry talking about the trade. Perry thinks a 28 1st is a mistake and that the Pat's would be better off with the pick two years from now than AJB.
My rebuttal to that is it appears there is this perception that the Pats will improve above and beyond other teams by virtue of their first round picks, when in reality, in today's NFL virtually all teams improve through the draft every year. This hypothetical 2028 likely late round pick has been romanticized as "The" missing piece. Just hold tight until then Drake. 2028 will be the year we make a run.

The Pats had no choice. It’s funny because the majority of the people who claim the team is still rebuilding believes that Doubs and Boutte are more than capable of being number 1s here. The overrating of Boutte after one decent season needs to be studied.
The window is open now. It’s never ideal to give up a 1 but it’s necessary here
AB J can be plugged in day 1 and be up to speed producing.1st rounders are important, but AJ Brown is a known high level commodity and we have the cap space. I tend to think his knee holds out at least 2 years, at which point the Pats can save a significant amount of money with releasing him.
Patriots first round draft picks since 2014:
2014- Dominique Easley
2015- Malcom Brown
2016- No pick
2017- No pick
2018- Isaiah Wynn and Sony Michel
2019- N'Keal Harry
2020- No Pick
2021- Mac Jones
2022- Cole Strange
2023- Christian Gonzalez
2024- Drake Maye
2025- Will Campbell
2026- Caleb Lomu
11 picks. 6 outright busts.
A 7th player, Sony Michel, was an important contributor to the SB his rookie season, but overall a semi-bust.
Roseman has positioned himself into catbird seat for the 2027 NFL draft which is supposed to be loaded. This trade was about AJ Brown, Howie Roseman, and Mike Vrabel.
Brown whined his way out of town, Roseman was willing to accommodate because of bad chemistry and bad knees if he could fleece someone, and Vrabel drove the Pats' willingness to be fleeced.
Interesting conclusion to come to.This trade was about AJ Brown, Howie Roseman, and Mike Vrabel.

How is he wrong? Seems the Pats were negotiating against themselves. Brown I guess wanted to be here and here alone and they still gave away 2 draft picks for a near 30 year old that IS slowing down a bit with a questionable at best knee.Interesting conclusion to come to.

2027Did you mean 2028? Eagles have 7 picks after this trade.
Pats have 8 picks in the next draft.
Draining a knee is like brushing teeth.Bedard: Patriots go all in on Mike Vrabel in trade for A.J. Brown, and other thoughts on the long-awaited deal
The only thing we're not certain about is whether the Patriots will restructure Brown's contract. We did get some comments from Eagles general manager Howie Roseman today since he spoke with Eagles reporters. We'll hear from Mike Vrabel and Patriots offensive coaches before practice on Tuesday...www.bostonsportsjournal.com
"The Patriots acquired a player who is physically declining, has a knee that required drainage twice a week on the way to the Eagles' Super Bowl victory (and scared off other teams), was a malcontent on one of the best teams in the league, and alienated his quarterback to the point that the Eagles wanted to move on from Brown."
I hope to hell that was a one time thing. Why did Bedard or anyone NOT say this beforehand. I dunno time will tell on this deal. Get out a year early for Roseman?
After what we saw last season, I'm a big believer in Maye. He and AJ Brown are gonna be amazing.Glad it’s official. Im a homer but i feel like this is going to pay off big and he is going to go great with maye while opening up the entire offense. the cherry on top to a great offseason after upgrading the ol, fb, and depth at te. This offense is going to explode imo.
